DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    I give up!

Hey Ron - don't give up just yet man. I've got an 84 GS 750 that I picked up for not too much many months ago and i'm slowly (and I mean slowly) working my way through everything) - now working on the charging system (surprise surprise) and this list (specifically Hap Cal) have been a...

    136/137psi on cyl 3

Those compression numbers are fine. Check valve clearance for sure to ensure they are within specs - my bet is number 3 valves will be a bit on the tight side. Once done your bike will thank you with outstanding performance and reliability. Once again, those compression numbers are good and...

Do I have an original Suzuki stator ???

thank you Hap Call for walking me through this and I apologize for taking so long to get back to this (why does work always seem to run interference with life??). Do I have an original Suzuki stator ???

Hap Call...................i performed the ohm checks and confusion reigns. All the A/B, A/C and B/C tests are not OK I think. I have 2 multimeters (they aren't the best quality - 1 analogue and one digital). The analogue will run to 0 (goes straight to the right of the scale) on all 3 tests...

Fork removal / inspection time estimate?

Just a thought before diving into the BIG work. Check the simple stuff first as mentioned on the other posts...................make sure the top clamp and bottom tripple clamp line up with each other. Loosen both (top and bottom) the clamp nuts and bolts just enough to be able to move the...

Do I have an original Suzuki stator ???

thank you Hap Call and Jackrp for your reassuring responses. I think then I must have the Electrex - and that's a good thing. In regards to the exposed wire repair issue, I was thinking of cutting the wire at the kinked area, solder the connection together and then use 2 or 3 layers of...

Do I have an original Suzuki stator ???

Just to satisfy my curiosity. This question is for those who have replaced the stator in their charging systems. A while ago I had picked up a 1984 GS 750E, and slowly but surely am going over the bike to correct any issues. So, off comes the stator cover on the left side of the motor and...

    Staying warm

I had heard of this back when I started riding in the mid seventies and tried it at least once myself. Rather inconvenient but does work if you have to go that way.......................... you can slip a newspaper between your clothing and your riding jacket. Just a regular folded newspaper...

Hello to all, thanks for taking the time to respond. Thanks Boondocks for the help on that, the sight has lots of info. You guys were right though, seems pretty much all GS models take the same rear brake pads over many years and models. Great job to all!

sorry for the " Y " word - I have started my penance, 40 lashes, 40 minutes standing facing the corner of a yellow painted room, and 40 minutes of listening to the sound of a TZ 750 being run up and down all gears, and full out at full song, on a race...
