A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    79 gs850 clip ons n triple tree?

Not to be a pain in the a$$ but, just wanted to give a little more to think about. My original '82 1100EZ, I bought new in '82. Like I stated earlier, I knew what I wanted but I was worried about what would happen if I were to want to return to original configuration so that became my driver...

    79 gs850 clip ons n triple tree?

The way I see it, you have a couple choices. You can grind off the nubs where the bars mounted and then file and sand to completely remove them. This alone has two problems that come to mind, one being the obvious, it being time consuming and the other problem is the not so obvious, what does...

How to find the original color?

Definitely an '82 and like Jim says, definitely not stock paint. Like I stated previously, the only two colors offered in 1982 were Candy Fancy Maroon and Fantastic Suzuki Gold (or whatever it's called and it's actually silver). I can't say what the new color equivalent is for the Suzuki Gold...

How to find the original color?

First, yes, the tank and all body parts are totally interchangeable between the '82 and '83. Second, there are quick ways to tell the difference between the '82 and '83, the single most noticeable difference is that the engine on the '82 is silver with chrome exhaust and on the '83, the engine...

How to find the original color?

The 1982 Suzuki GS1100EZ was not offered in any shade of blue however, the 1983 GS1100E had a not so available dark blue. The colors offered in 1982 were Candy Fancy Maroon and another color they called something like Suzuki Fantastic Gold Metallic, which is actually silver. I never could...

OEM paint color 1982 suzuki gs1100EZ

It was real easy for me, I just went down to the paint supply, bought the paint then, handed it to a friend of mine who does all my paint stuff. I really dont know how he applied it, I'm always just in awe of his abilities. I need to post some other pictures of other things he's painted for...

OEM paint color 1982 suzuki gs1100EZ

No problem. I went through a very long and exhausting search for the color and tried every possible way of finding it that was suggested by other members and ran into road blocks at every step. Because I couldn't find the matching color, I came real close to having the bike painted Inferno...

OEM paint color 1982 suzuki gs1100EZ

I can tell that that is gonna be a really nice bike when you finish, looks like you have a very good starting point. As you need help, there are a lot of really good people here who will be able to assist in many ways. It's amazing the amount of knowledge that is contained on this site. Also...

OEM paint color 1982 suzuki gs1100EZ

I just went down to the local paint supply and bought the paint, its paint code PRH as can be seen in the third photo. Just go down to the local paint supply and tell them that you need the Inferno Red Crystal Pearl for a 2010 Dodge Ram and tell them that the paint code should be PRH. They...

OEM paint color 1982 suzuki gs1100EZ

The Candy Fancy Maroon for the 1982 GS1100EZ is no longer available due to some of the pigments in the color being outlawed in the state of California. I did an exhausting search for the paint color and finally ended up going to the largest auto dealer in my area that sold multiple brands and...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

I hope you guys don't mind but, I took the liberty of brightening up your pictures to see what they looked like when brightened up a little. Redmans bike popped like I hoped it would but, jedz had a pretty hard sun blast behind it that I couldn't get past. Anyway, I hope you guys don't mind...

    Riding Game

Ok, here is the 40mph speed limit sign. I looked everywhere for a duct tape repair and couldn't find one anywhere so, I took the option for the speed limit sign. Not really sure why it keeps posting it sideways, it looks proper everywhere else. The only thing I had available was my phone so...

    tail tidy/fender eliminator on 1100e?

Last time I took my bike in for the annual safety inspection, one of my turn signals had a problem. I was told that if the turn signals are on the bike they have to work but, if they are not on the bike, no problem. I asked for clarification and was told that in the State of Texas, for...

    Brake light upgrade

Well, I finally received the bulbs I was waiting for and excitedly ran out to swap out the bulbs and much to my surprise, it was a no-go. The bulb actually fit without a problem and lit but, the problem was that for some reason the tail light portion does not light and instead, it causes the...

    Riding Game

Ok, I'm confused, I finally am at a point where I can get back in the game and I'm not sure what the next tag is. Is the next tag a duct tape repair or is it a 35 mph speed limit sign? Or, are there two parallel games going on at the same time?

    tail tidy/fender eliminator on 1100e?

Don't know if this helps or not but, I replaced my turn signals with some smaller ones and it reduced the impression of the "wideness." If you take a look at my photo albums, you can get a better idea of how it looks as a final product. Something else to consider, if you cut or remove the...

WTH .. I think I lost my captain courageous !

I started out in the late seventies racing dirt bikes then moved on to street bikes. In my younger days, there was absolutely nothing I wouldn't do or at least try. I came off a bike once, laid one down, got hit once and even totaled one out due to a left turner but, I felt like I was bullet...

    Suzuk GSxxxxG case savers

As nice as they look, I would have paid that too. Shame they didn't fit for you. Unfortunately they aren't for the '82 1100E either, the ones I have on my red '82 are a bit different most noticeably with the center mount for each. Hopefully you'll find the proper ones as nice as those.

    Suzuk GSxxxxG case savers

Did the case guards come in or have the original packaging? Do you have some pictures of the guards? I am asking because obviously they don't fit yours but, if by some wild chance they fit an '82 GS1100E, I would be interested in buying them from you. I'm sure that many others here would be...
