A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hahah yeah, I hope that's the after pic anyway! Never know with some of our folks. Just today my son mentioned Stator to me, and I told him that Stator's in Canada now. I'm thinking that this spring we might adopt a little brother or sister of Stator to bring with us on rides, he might enjoy...

    Building/equipping a workshop/garage.

Lookin' good Mr. Steve! Taking a garage right out of a '90s flight simulator and making it reality - now THAT'S imagineering! :P

Seems like a long time but it's typical that USPS 'tracking' doesn't really tell you much besides when the package left and when it was delivered. Hope he arrives soon.

I remember helping with the landscaping for that thing, the infamous Cannonball Loop. No one died on it that I know of, but they did have trouble with people getting stuck at the top of the loop, and I think installed a trap door to assist with removal efforts. Yes they did pay employees to test...

what did you wrench on today??

I'm re-forming filter capacitors in a guitar amp that I shelved about 6-7 years ago because it was getting noisy. It's a ~'65 Guild T-112, a neat little 12 watt tube amp with a 12" speaker. It's a great sounding amp, I'm hoping to get it up and running again. Electrolytics tend to dry out and...

    Another Fairing thread

Jeez now I know, when I visit Chateau Steve I will have to know not only the names of all the people but all the bikes as well! :p It may have been more than just a case of over tightening with that fairing. I made the mounting brackets for it, and although I thought I had a fairly neutral...

I bought a used Maier from someone here a while back. I'm pretty sure it's the large one. It definitely makes a difference in that it keeps the wind off of your torso, so you can be a little warmer in cool weather. I found that it directed a pretty good blast at my head though, which bugs me on...

I forgot to mention that one of the plans in the 70s was to link Great Gorge with the Playboy Club via a huge gondola sky car thingy, but the plan never materialized into the flower of hedonistic splendor that they envisioned. I guess Jack Kurlander's pockets weren't as deep as Gene Mulvihill's...

    Swingin' NJ

The Alpine Slide was the first summer attraction at the ski resort, but I forget the exact chronology. Roughly, GG opened in the late 60s, followed by VV in the early-mid 70s. I'm struggling to remember dates here. They were owned independently of each other initially, then merged some time in...

    Swingin' NJ

Vernon Valley was owned by Gene Mulvihill in its heyday, then some other, like, dudes bought it in the late 90s and changed its name to Mountain Creek. It was sold back to Mulvihill after around ten years, the place changed a lot in that period. The base lodge burned down in 99, they used a...
