A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Favorite "small" bike for bopping around town

My dream little 'go getter' is a Yamaha RD350. My God what fun that would be. Perhaps not as beginner friendly as some alternatives. You could always go RD250.

I've certainly not posted much at all for a few months. Still taking my co-pilot on rides and he still loves them. I haven't taken pics lately.

It's probably the same officer. I was riding with a friend once and he pulled us over on the back roads outside of Btown. My friend liked to ride at 60, even in 35 zones.. It used to annoy the living Hell out of me, I like to smell the roses... but anyway the officer gives him a grilling, he...

Fate drew my eye to this thread - I love Glens pics! I've been to some of these areas, others not... much to see in our lovely state!

    Riding around New Jersey.

A fellow GSer got a ticket out that way after he synced his carbs at my house and was 'testing their mettle'. Well the mettle of the metal got a medal, and he got a 'performance award' from the local constabulary. It seems to have eased up around Blairstown since a certain officer (whom I have...

DB it's nice to see you were up my way.... too bad I missed you, and the opportunity to share baked goods! NJ has some lovely locations indeed, when you go off the beaten trail. I just wanted to add a couple pictures of the viaduct that I took a few years ago. It is an impressive structure...

    GS450 and their common issues

There's something to be said for a light first bike, but it's less important than how it fits your frame. some awfully small people ride Goldwings, then again some awfully tall Steves ride them too. I do sometimes miss the (for my 'vertically replete' frame) happy-go-lucky lightness of my 550 at...

    GS450 and their common issues

Welcome to the site! A 450 is a fine first bike as long as it fits you, and is a perfectly capable bike as you gain experience. It will require a bit more work than a newish bike, at the same time maintenance on it should be stone simple compared to most newer bikes. It's not a great idea to own...

    Stator, The GSR travelling mascot.

I haven't looked in on my old friend and travelling companion in quite some time. Tatu those are some fantastic shots! Stator certainly has moved on to bigger and more exotic things since leaving NJ.
