A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Tires for the Bandit

I have a pilot road 4 on the rear, and a road 5 up front on the bandit 1250. I really like the Michelins. I enjoyed the life of the tire and the overall ride feel. Also have matching road 5's on the king and it feels great.

From the guys at fz09.org https://www.fz09.org/threads/actual-width-of-a-size-180-55-tire-they-are-different-across-brands-share-yours.47354/ I can confirm the measurement within 2 mm of the road 4, as that's what's on my bandit 1250. Great tire too. Here's mine - Michelin Pilot Road 4...

    180 rear tyre

I opted to go down to a 170 for clearance in stock 1100e swingarm with a 5.5 rim on my 1100es. Most of the 180 tires had just a bit too much profile to clear the chain with 5/8 offset sprocket and gs carrier. Also running 520 xring chain pirelli's I've heard seem to be slightly narrower on the...

    K1600 and triumph trophy se

I liked the fjr1300 but I prefered a slightly more relaxed riding position for distance, and the bars were too narrow in orientation for me. Plus I thought I'd try something a little different so I'll be owning my first non japanese motorcycle. Nic

First trip is to Austin April 1 with my wife for the MotoGP races. We will be leaving asap in the morning (11ish hour trip) to get there and have an air b&b booked off South Congress in Austin. I wanted something sporty enough I would enjoy it in the twisties yet comfortable over long miles...

    K1600 and triumph trophy se

After weighing the pros and cons of each I settled on a 2016 Tophy Se in black. Got a better rate for the newer bike. 9800 on the clocks and all accessories included. Newer tires with 1k on them, and maintenance up to date. I was really leaning toward the k1600 but based on maintainence cost...

    K1600 and triumph trophy se

Anyone with first hand experience with either of these bikes, and could give me opinions of them? Planning some long distance runs this spring and summer with the wife, so 2 up comfort with a sport edge is important. I've owned a wing but want something in the true sport touring category. I...

    BS36 carbs

As pos said. Pods, pipe, jetting. I was running 1150 cams at the time, degreed in with stock head and bore. Later went with 1166 kit and mildly ported head and .34 cams and flatslides.
