A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Bike Of The Month Submissions

Just me, I know very little about computer stuff and nothing about sending pictures. But for sure always looking forward to the 1st of the month to see the "HOPEFULLY a NEW BOTM"... My opinion, rather than doing away with BOTM if there are no new submissions, just go back through and pick any...

    1980 or 1982 GS1100E--Which Would You Choose?

Almost forever I'd thought Suzuki should have put the Champagne paint on the "83", with all that black stuff, eng., exhaust, handlebars, starter cover, shocks, mirrors, thought the contrast would be good. No, I finally saw one, and not near as nice looking as I'd thought it would be. Now...

    Rip off or not?

That's almost the same as my independent guy charges, plus your dealer furnished a tube... You think that dealer may deserve a shout out... Heck he may change my opinion of dealerships.

No guarantees but thinking I've read or heard some states titles have the model yr. listed as when the bike is first sold and titled. So any "83" model bike sold & titled before Jan. 1st of "83" will be shown as an "82". Hoping somebody that knows for sure will chime in.

    It's about time! (Pun intended)

finally read link in orig post... Are we having another controversy? It says B.C. is permanently adopting DST, Premier David Eby announced Monday. Then says that U.S. President Donald Trump expressed interest in eliminating DST. Permanently adopting or eliminating, I probably wouldn't care...

    It's about time! (Pun intended)

We had no Daylight savings time from sometime in the mid 1940's till 1966 and best I can remember all was well. The U.S restarted it in 1966 and continuously most people I know have complained, twice pr. yr. about the having to change again. Most every yr. there is talk for a couple of weeks...

    Rip off or not?

Yep, kind'f expect the incidentals at a stealership, part of reason I try to avoid them, kind'f rare at an independent shop.... Like marv though, had the means to pay and will survive... Also said could happen at much worse places, BTDT back in 1980,. out in the middle of nowhere with no...

    Rip off or not?

I hate dealerships, Try my best to never go to them "BUT". I do realize the dealerships "customers" have got to pay for those $1M +++ buildings, all equipment, all inventory, Insurance, utilities, all employees salaries including the ones that don't bring in $150 pr. hr.. then the taxes on any...

    1980 or 1982 GS1100E--Which Would You Choose?

No doubt, you're not alone, most folks like black bikes, especially the Harley guys. I'm the one almost alone as I'm one of the few that don't like black bikes. I prefer bright, happy, fast, colors over the dank, gloomy, sad, slower colors every time. The only GS1100E's that came in silver were...

Well, no doubt, both look great. Also the ugliest color for the 1st gen. and by far the prettiest color for the 2nd gen. Both look like awesome finds, Congrats, and will be watching the progress.
