A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Howzitgoin' - Have you pulled the clutch cover off and checked all of the plates? It's possible the separator plates are warped or binding.

    GS550e Middle kick stand help.

This issue caught me out. I ended up leaving the bolts out of the mounting holes. Placing the spring ends onto the frame and stand loops (spring mounting points), then working the stand assembly into place. This method ensures minimal tension on the spring.

Need a Rear Brake Master Cylinder Rebuild Kit

I was able to source a rear brake master cylinder rebuild kit from my local Suzuki dealer. The kit part number is 69600-45820. That number appears to cover a number of model years

    Computer Help

Hi bccap Dell is good computer platform. I worked as an I.T. tech at an Australian science and research organisation that transitioned solely to Dell desktop and server computers. Dell support is pretty good also. A couple of things to note before transitioning to a new computer. 1 - BACK UP...

Pilot Jet vs Pilot Air Screw??

Hi Folks 1980 GS1000G I've been following a number of threads relating to carby issues. It's more or less for learning rather than a specific issue. It turns out, I've become confused the more I read. That's not difficult I suppose. To the point for clarification regarding the...

    1978 GS750 project stalled for 15 years

G'Day from Melbourne Australia. Your experience with the GS is similar to mine. I bought a 1980 GS 1000 G in 2011 with the intention of cleaning it up and adding a few mods, then just ride. One sunny Sunday afternoon, I pulled the seat off to do some cleaning. Big mistake. After that, many...

    Perth to Sydney - intention

Travelling between Perth and Sydney can be gruelling. It's a long way and the Nullabor Plain is vast and dry. That said, Danny did it on a Honda 125 Monkey bike - twice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjeDImnHzw8&list=PLdyNenIpg--7mKUWtcP5zjoBNmg9Le_jz

    OK what u think 1981 GS850G

Nice find. Here in Australia we would be lucky to find a large box of GS parts for $500 ($800 AU). I'm always astounded how many complete and relatively clean GS's there are in the US for what I deem as 'not too many dollars'. I assume the Aus GS market was relatively small compared to the US...
