A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Gonna check out a Laverda 3C (1L triple) tomorrow. Excited.

Parts availability and prices would scare me off from the get go but I haven't looked into it either. Some would say similar things about an old bike made by "The big four" but as we know it's not huge issue.

    Facts

Too bad I don't have an instagram account or that video would be massively shared! BTW I always thought Instagram was a quick delivery service for small amounts of marijuana or perhaps cocaine.

    Do you know Theia?

Having been raised as a Catholic I can assure you that isn't always the case.

    Do you know Theia?

A theory is a hypothesis that has ruled out other plausible possibilities in favor of one plausible, yet improvable possibility.

Making a good one out of two good ones.

My trailer is easily a bit more narrow than the width of my hard saddlebags, probably the smallest trailer you'll find short of going to a single wheel unit. The interior is 30"40" and a little over 18" tall. Luckily the top is quite stout and has rack to lash things down to.

Making a good one out of two good ones.

You'd be surprised how little drag a trailer puts on your bike, of course my experience is limited to a Goldwing and Yamaha XS1100. My guess is the low end torque of a big single would handle it just fine.

Happy Thanksgiving to the rest of the Turkeys!

As a life long Detroit Lions fan I'm thankful that I don't have a TV and didn't watch the Lions vs Packers game.

Making a good one out of two good ones.

My thought on those older singles would be to make it into a 40's or 50's style bike with a rigid tail and a springer front end. Add a "Pogo Stick" saddle on it and maybe some leather saddlebags.

    The American Revolution

A lot of folks would do well to take things in the context of "the times" instead of attempting to draw parallels to how they see the world today. In the same vein, they'd do well to consider that not everyone has the same same life experiences and moral outlook that they do. The founders where...

The most impactful news of our lifetime

I liken The Vortex to overhearing your neighbor trying to convince his teen aged step son that it's HIS responsibility to see to it that the garbage is taken to the curb on Tuesday morning.

The most impactful news of our lifetime

I'm envisioning a common North American currency with The US, Canada and Mexico creating something along the the lines of The Euro and a Schengen style zone for employment purposes. It's a lot easier to keep an eye on who is who and what they're up to when you have an open ledger system. Basing...

The most impactful news of our lifetime

A multi nation BRICS payment system is now in place. This story will most likely become politically charged and end up in The Vortex, of course that'll take awhile since it really hasn't had enough mainstream news coverage for people to form an opinion...
