A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Trevor - in 1980, I purchased the only GS1000S sold in Green Bay, WI. Unfortunately, a few years later I traded it on a GS750L. Really. I’ve been looking for a GS1000S ever since…..in fact, I bought my 700ES because it brought back memories of my 1980 GS1000S. I would consider a trade + cash...

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Rode my pristine GS700ES to the weekly car show held at the A&W drive-in. I had a lot of car guys walk over and look at the bike…. several reminisced about riding 750 Suzuki‘s in the 1980s…. I got a lot of compliments on the bike !

    Anti-dive fluid bleed

The old fluid that came out of the anti-dive unit was the consistency and color of maple syrup. Not sure if it was necessary to replace it based on how the bike is ridden, but I feel better knowing it was done. On a somewhat related subject, I noticed there’s a slot formed in the gasket located...

    Anti-dive fluid bleed

OK…Follow the same technique as bleeding the brake lines?…. Continue drawing fluid through the anti-dive mechanism until the dirty fluid is replaced by clean fluid, (while at the same time making sure not to allow the brake reservoir to go empty and suck-in air) My concern of course is...

    Anti-dive fluid bleed

Hello again - Now that I have my rear brake master cylinder issue resolved (thanks to so many folks on this forum) I would now like to replace the front brake fluid on my 1985 GS700ES, and the brake fluid that activates anti-dive mechanism for aggressive front braking. Is the bleeding- the same...

    Rear brake master cylinder options

I was able to remove the rear brake master cylinder from my GS700 ES without having to remove the swing arm wheel and shock, as instructed in the Suzuki service manual, Has anyone out there installed a generic unit on an 80s GS700/750, or a similar rear brake master cylinder from a similar...

    GS700 rear brake master cylinder

I was able to remove the rear master cylinder by unbolting the reservoir from the frame, then merely unscrewing the threaded shaft from the pivot section attached to the swing-arm. I have no clue why the shop manual says the swing-arm, rear shock, and rear wheel has to be removed. Unfortunately...

    GS700/750 rear brake master cylinder

Hello - I also posted this in the Technical Forum: Is there a way to replace the rear master cylinder on a GS700/750 without having to remove the rear swingarm and rear shock? ! I have a problem with my 1985 GS 700ES. Initially the rear brake caliper was stuck so I completely rebuilt the rear...

    GS700 rear brake master cylinder

Hello - I have a problem with my 1985 GS 700ES. Initially the rear brake caliper was stuck so I completely rebuilt the rear caliper. When I went to bleed the system I had zero pressure in the foot break lever. I tried numerous times trying to bleed the air out of the system, but I can’t pump...
