    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

That would be unnerving. Gustov are heading to Us 50 next Thursday on our way to Colorado Springs.I look forward to it as the last time I was on US-50 there was no I-80.

    Stator, The GSR travelling mascot.

I couldn't remember Colin's name until I saw it in print. I don't think he was banned but I do remember him expressing displeasure with the forum or some of the members here and planning on leaving. I often hoped he would pop back on and comment on the travels of his Bear. RIP Stan and thanks Colin!

    Storm's Adventure Out West

I'm subscribed. If you make it to Nevada or Sacramento I'll take a ride down and meet up. I plan on doing US-50 in July with Gustov to the Colorado Springs area. I remember riding in a car on 50 from Saramento through eastern Colorado in 1966 on our way to Virigina. Look forward to seeing how...

POLL: Easiest GS model to work on is...

No contest here! My experience is really limited to maintance work; adjusting valves, stator replacement, spline, forks and pulling the carbs. Removal and replacement of the carbs is the main reason I say it's the easiest. Shafts are a joy to own and maintain. What else would Charlie G own? A...

I went over to the Ulster Gran Prix in 2011 and the Armoy "Race of Legends" in 2015 and had a great time at both. Weather makes or breaks the meet. I have a friend who I met here (GSR) who took me to the races once I got over. His house seems to burnt to the ground last night and I may need to...

Welcome Dharma! A 1000g is the absolute most comfortable Suzuki made. My 1100g is second best with a bit more grunt. Try to find the proper bucket and trim for that bike and consider a brichter replacement bulb. I went with an ADVmonster 35w LED bulb but there a few to choose from, from other...

    1984 Katana 7/11

I hope you submitted your Kat for a well diserved BOTM, but it really should be bike of the year. There aren't many projects that can truly live up to the real potential of this fourm, but you and this Katana project have certianly shown what an individual with the larger collective mind (GSR &...

I bought a GS 650 from a fellow in Reno who's discription in his Craigs list add read as follows: " rolled this bike out of the garage out of the garage where it has sat for 6 years, killed the 2 Black Widows, and after priming, it sputtered to a rough idel."
