All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Concerts that mark major moments in our lives

I've seen Blue Oyster Cult six times. The third time I saw them, Dio opened for them at a small venue in Tucson. After the show, Dio was hanging out, signing autographs. I was talking to him when Eric Bloom came up and asked us if we wanted to have a short Q&A with the band, which was filmed...

Concerts that mark major moments in our lives

I just saw Cyndi Lauper's final concert, at the Hollywood Bowl. Her music has been part of my life soundtrack since I was 15. Her love for underdogs, her emphasis on individuality and vulnerability, all of these things captured in songs that resonated-her music matters to me. The concert was one...

    Long trips anyone?

I rode my 1150 on several 12-1500 mile trips with only a flat and a speedometer drive unit as casualties.

    What's it like....

That had to be an absolutely insane 1150. Mine was good for about 140 and that's all she wrote.

    What's it like....

We had YZ360s around when I was a kid (I had a YZ125 at the time), but my dad's best friend had a 490. Terrifying bike.

    What's it like....

    180 kph, you mean.

    What's it like....

155 or so on a much modified '03 FZ1, possibly faster on the GPz 810 Turbo. 140 on the VFR1000, 130 or so on the VMax.

    SoCal - Here's an '82 Katana, not bad! And an '82 GS1100G - $8500 each. Not mine.

Nice, but for that price, I'd be looking for a CBx.

    Significant setback for self-driving vehicles

Two of those Waymos hit each other at Sky Harbor this year. Last year, one of them smashed head-on into a telephone pole.

    70's Cycle Worlds

I had one of those '82 GPz 550s, and I agree!

18 motorcycle crashes in one day at Sturgis Rally in South Dakota

Although plenty of squids wreck on the Dragon, Max Wrist is an extremely fast YouTuber who rides it with aplomb.

    Coffee withdrawals

Two cups a day. I enjoy it enough to have a Nespresso machine.

Is there such a thing as a cheap Beemer?

Gorgeous machines-and gorgeous. Funny detail-I had a black/yellow FZ1 like the one in the background for over 5 years.

    Significant setback for self-driving vehicles

I hate the cause of the judgment, but hope people can find sanity again and start paying attention. Drive yourself or take an Uber, lazy slobs.

1983 Suzuki XN85 Turbo (Not Mine)

Not the GPz. That bike touched 10 second quarters with just minor adjustments. The bike I had was completely rebuilt and modified by Horsepower Unlimited. It made 220 rwhp. It was insanity.

1983 Suzuki XN85 Turbo (Not Mine)

Too cool a bike to bastardize. That was a really great machine, though not quite as vicious as the GPz750 Turbo (I had one of those, extremely modified-scared the bejeezus out of me more than once).

Is there such a thing as a cheap Beemer?

The R100S is a gorgeous bike. I'd love to own one. They do have a TON of suspension travel, and they are slow to turn, relatively speaking, but what beautiful machines, and what incredibly reliable beasts they are.

Is there such a thing as a cheap Beemer?

Lots of cheap Beemers have way high mileage but good service histories.
