A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The King's Egg is Gold! (dark gold)

The King's Egg is Gold! (dark gold)

Battery requirements aside, imagine what might happen if you fitted a bike with a motor smaller than a stock GS750 that produces almost ten HP per pound..... 86 pounds = 800 HP!! Koenigsegg has a new electric motor, they call "Dark Matter" that actually fits this description ...

You mentioned Beverley Hillbillies and that brought a couple of memories We have had at least two members who chose screen names from that show. I met Geoff , who was both a really nice guy and a VERY good rider. He chose Jethro The other was my daughter, Tam. She chose Ellie May.

    What's it like....

I'll second that vote. At speed it may have been the most unstable bike of its time. It certainly did get that reputation.

    What's it like....

A few years ago we had a member who somehow got a speeding ticket near Winnipeg, Manitoba while riding his GS1150. He reported that. RCMP had clocked him on radar at 174MPH I remember it because that is the fastest confirmed speed I have heard of on this forum.

    What's it like....

Yes. Once. A while ago. On a GS1100GK On a ride across New Brunswick I averaged 95MPH over about 130 miles. Most memorable moment? I hit a dip at about 110 to 115 MPH and went airborne for two full seconds..... Definitely a moment of concern, but the touchdown was flawless. It was also my...

    What's it like....

to ride a motorcycle at 175 MPH? I have never reached that number, but this writer did. GQ Sports offers this writer's experience at doing 175MPH on the best track and on one of the best bikes made. https://www.gq.com/story/ducati-panigale-v4

No Power/ No start. All Elec. Verified.

Two responses on this one. First, I am glad to see that it worked out for you. Second....your experience reminded me of TWO similar experiences, with two different bikes. The GS1100G had exactly the same symptoms and I also checked out everything before giving up in utter frustration because...

Rabbits can get horny? Who knew?

18 motorcycle crashes in one day at Sturgis Rally in South Dakota

Ideas on what these guys were doing? There is a house directly behind them, so this is likely a driveway. What is it that they are trying to jump over.? Is someone holding this airborne rider's beer? .

18 motorcycle crashes in one day at Sturgis Rally in South Dakota

This has nothing to do with Sturgis, but I have seen more idiot riders this year than ever before....not just a few more, but probably five times as many. already...and we still have a couple more months to go before fall sets in. How such a major change has come about so suddenly I do not...

18 motorcycle crashes in one day at Sturgis Rally in South Dakota

In Ontario wearing a helmet has been mandatory for years, but there are many who consider that an unwelcome imposition, and they look for ways to evade the law. Sometimes reality gives them an abrupt and hard lesson. So-called "beanie" helmets are used by many of those riders. It is far from...
