A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Thanks pos. Indeed the quality of the ohlins is amazing. Therefore moving the shock mount forward for 13" shocks to keep general stock geometry seems doable. Nic

Also found a shot of a bandit arm that Katman uses on a turbo kat. Notice where the mounts are located (yes it has extensions) And some interesting info on trail in regards to his set up and the stock set up of a gs1100/kat and gsxr that kataman posted in the same thread...

    attn: Bandit rear swap experts

Mario, I'm trying to figure out the same thing. You can buy everything complete from Katman http://www.parts.suzuki-katana.com/ however I like to do things myself. Also I hate badgering Katman/Rob for info since I'm not buying the components from him. I did get some parts from him for my ES...

    Bandit arm lateral play

Well, it looks like it needs a bit of a gap, so that the bearing spacers don't bind on the outside of the swingarm pivot/bearing area, preventing it from pivoting. I guess the shocks once mounted prevent it from moving from side to side at the pivot? What about water infiltration to the...

    78 CB 750 Supersport

I picked up a basket case 78 about 3 years ago, and never got around to doing much with it. It was mostly all there, but the engine had been disassembled due to spun bearing. Found another 78 engine on Craislist a couple years ago, and picked it up for $60. Bottom end wound up being sound...

    Bandit arm lateral play

My machinist finished top hat reducer bushings for me. Pictured on the left: Everything fits well, however once everything is torqued down, there is a 1-1.25mm lateral play between the original bandit bearing spacers. I am able to slide the arm side to side ever so much between the spacers...

Bandit rear end, why not use larger pivot

Think for anything it to keep the frame original. You still need to have some spacers made to take up the space since the swingarm is narrower at the pivot. Nic

1 year manufacture in 83. There are quite a few nice examples out there and quite a few owners of ES's here on the forum. Engine and Chassis basically same as the E. The fairing is unique and can be pretty valuable. Nic

Bandit swingarm and rear wheel centering.

I've read through most of the rear wheel alignment threads using bandit swingarms. Posplayr has outlined meathods of centering the rear wheel. Anyone out there with the bandit rear conversion using a 5.5" rear wheel able to give spacer measurements they are using? Katman stated, "With a...
