DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Very cool find. Would be really cool to trace it's lineage down. Looking forward to the build/restoration thread on this one.

    Basic battery question

I have an Interstate Gel battery in my GS. Been in there for over 8 years. Bike hasn't RUN in 3 years, and the battery STILL has a charge on it. Couldn't tell you if it's really an Interstate battery, don't really care. It works good. If/when I need one for any other bike, I'll buy another...

Harley vs Indian. This is going to be fun to watch!

I drive crappy cars, so I can afford to make my crappy bikes better, lol. Maintenance on an older car is cheaper that a car payment and full coverage insurance. I drive 130 miles round trip every day for work. Putting that many miles on a new car is just silly. My wife bought a new 2016...

Harley vs Indian. This is going to be fun to watch!

True story. They dropped Victory to bring Indian back to the market, again... The first time, they were basically Harley knock-offs, with S&S engines. They were nice, but not "the real thing" in either aspect. They weren't respected as being Indians, and looked down on as being Harley...

LED Brake Lights : SYLVANIA - 3157 ZEVO LED Red Bulb

Agreed, the projection tip makes a big difference in how bright they look. my bulbs point straight back in the tail assembly. They work very good. At night, they light up the road in a wide arch. I should get a picture of that sometime...

LED Brake Lights : SYLVANIA - 3157 ZEVO LED Red Bulb

Well, it was 2 years ago, and I tend to try not to buy the cheapest of anything. Rather shoot for the middle of the price range when I can. I bought the cheapest LED headlight bulbs I could find on amazon last year, and I need to replace them already. Typing this, just reminded me of that...

LED Brake Lights : SYLVANIA - 3157 ZEVO LED Red Bulb

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07415TZJC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought these for my '95 GSXR, 2 years ago. 1157 style, they work VERY good over stock. Very bright, even during a sunny day. I have integrated turn signals/brake lights, so my signals flash fast. I...

Anyone ever use these wire connectors?

I think we have ALL had a bad encounter with those stupid Scotchlok's. I'm pretty sure the instant you lock them shut, they start the corrosion process. Almost every vehicle I have ever bought with a trailer hitch, has had these hacked into the tail & brake light harness. I typically use the...

Harley vs Indian. This is going to be fun to watch!

I like to look at some of the Harley's out there on the road, but not very many of them are worthy these days, as the seem to look the same. Most HD riders buy all of their accessories from the HD catalog. It's just repetitive. When we were kids, and saw a Harley we liked, it was because it...

    '82 650L revival

So, 3 years later... (LOL) I really didn't have a lot of motivation to get this bike on the road. Last year, my oldest son decided he wanted it, so he gave me what I have into the bike and new parts. He has since then rebuilt the carbs, with all of the tutorials I have printed and put into a...

    JohnnyL's 1980 GS550L Cafe Build

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw that picture. I figured that HAD to rub. Just my thoughts, 40mm is only an inch and a half. With the shock angle, I'm thinking it will only raise it about an inch, maybe a touch more. Swap the shocks, and raise the forks a bit, I bet you...
