A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Interesting facts Six of the listings I looked at for the world's highest flying birds show species that vary in high-flying ability across a range from heights of 10000 feet to 37000 feet BUT none mentioned a Canada Goose )including Wiki) A search specifically about Canada Goose flying...

    Float needle and seat question.

Just FYI Not the same model or size but my 84 GS1100GK was grey. I miss that bike. A month after I bought it, it gave me an Iron Butt ride of almost 1100 miles in 24 hours.

Cuisine, we eat what war has given us

Never encountered lutefisk but it has the same base fish as does gefilte fish. I have encountered gefilte fish multiple times, but never tried it as the smell was so bad. Perhaps they have that in common.

    Wheelie Recovery Technique?

That last line is SO important. Regardless of your age, being constantly aware of what is happening ALL around you is the single most important thing you must learn and maintain through your riding career.

    Wheelie Recovery Technique?

The reason instructors tell you to use four fingers is to get you into the habit of doing what is best for safety....NOT convenience or "feeling natural" For almost every one, four givers a much more positive grip and enables the front brakes to work at their best. There may be some exceptions...

Cuisine, we eat what war has given us

This article from Smithsonian gives some insights into what many of us believe is just "normal fare" at our tables and we never think about how that came to be. https://getpocket.com/explore/item/much-of-the-cuisine-we-now-know-and-think-of-as-ours-came-to-us-by-war?utm_source=firefox-newtab-en-us

    How does it happen?

"In a way..." ?? I remember seeing that one. I had to think about the association you made and cannot say you are wrong as "soup" was a significant component in both.. It is a curious association as it is a theme of opposites, where the life stages above result in the creation of something...

WOW! This is not a good year for aviation

While listening to news report on the car radio this morning I heard about how two runways are still blocked by the wreckage and the consequential and unavoidable flight delays. Wheelie Recovery Technique?

You are right on all points. I am no longer amazed, but continue to be puzzled by how many riders still avoid proper use of the front brake in normal riding, and especially in emergency cituations. ] the rear brake is an excellent tool when you want down from a wheelie, and particularly when it...

Not sure where to put this....

I respectfully suggest you watch the movie, as it follows much earlier translations, and tries to use the period English language very well.. I assure you it is far....FAR....better than what you commonly see/hear in today's "modern" movies. I recall being more than a little impressed with...

WOW! This is not a good year for aviation

This would not be unusual and could be a mandatory requirement for many corporations with their executives and, I believe, senior military personnel.also do this fairly often, although not always. Update from local news /CBC says there were total twenty-one injured and nineteen have already...

WOW! This is not a good year for aviation
