A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Stock ride height of '83 GS1100

Can anyone with a stock front end on their '83 GS1100E or '83 GS1100ES give me a measurement of the stock ride height? Either on or off the center stand. Measure say, to the front motor mount bolt, or any other point near the front of the frame? Thanks, Greg B.

Any Tig Welders in So Cal?

Hey Dan, I work with a couple guys who are good TIG welders. If your guy falls through, give me a shout. Greg B.

They Dont call it "Sparks and Magic" for Nuttn

I really like this idea. Reminds me of the early oil cooled GSX-Rs. Using directed oil jets for cooling. I wonder if you could put multiple oil outputs inside the stator cover for even better cooling. Might not be enough room. I'm probably going to do this on my 1150. I work out in Corona, and...

    Top End Oiler Project

Thanks, Jim. Glad you were able to graft the block into an already existing setup. I also realized there was no way to fit a "T" in the back port, AFTER I wrote about it. I still have two kits ready to ship. Another batch on the way. Black anodize only. No more bare aluminum kits.

    Top End Oiler Project

Just a reminder to folks that expressed an interest in UN-anodized parts. I need to know for sure if you want a kit. I've had a couple people inquire, but then I never heard back from them. So speak up by Monday, May 24th 2010 no later than 12:00 noon, PACIFIC STANDARD TIME. Otherwise, off to...

Cam chain heavy duty vs. stock

The barrels look beefier. So I imagine the pins are probably larger dia. Looks like the side plates are thicker too. Don't forget the things you can't see with the eye. Like heat treating and material properties.

    Top End Oiler Project

Thanks, madjack57754 & posplayr. Enjoy. posplayr, you could probably just put a "T" fitting from the rear and use one take-off to supply the pressure gauge. Greg B.

Two Kits Left Two Kits Left I've got two kits left at the moment. For anyone who wanted an UN-ANODIZED kit, please let me know by Sunday, May 23rd, 2010. Other wise all the parts I have machined are going to anodize on Monday. And that is going to be it for a while. Thanks, Greg B.

    Top End Oiler Project

@ wesmoon Yes. You need to install GS750 oil pump gears to push higher volume and the little extra capacity that the top end oiling system adds. @ Posplayr I think it would be far simpler to take oil pressure off of the oil galley just aft of the cylinder on the right. @ Salty Monk I really...

Anodize or Not Anodize or Not A few people have expressed the desire for parts that are un-anodized. If those folks request soon enough, I will keep some back from the anodizers. But, be aware, the hoses and fittings are black. I'm not changing that since I have to get those parts from a...

    Top End Oiler Project

Finally Finally I have a few kits ready for sale. Actually right now I have five, because some went to local dragracers. Never fear, I have more parts going out to the anodizer on Wednesday. So I expect to have my stock built back up within a week or so. Unfortunately, after the next couple...
