DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

Electrical timing bogs out at 5500RPM???

Is it possible that the spark plug cap connection is poor. I have improved similar issues by removing the spark plug caps, (unscrew it anti clockwise), check the wire where it connects and if crusty, trim off about 1/4" and screw the spark plug cap back on. Good luck David

New intake rubber clamp, rubber not sealing?

If the clamps have the self threading type of screw they are the superceeded parts that Suzuki sells, and they do not seal very well if at all. You want the ones with the fine machine thread. As Ed suggested when I had issues I tried the ones from the GS1000L from 1979, they were the ones I...

    1981 gs1000et

Hi there Suzuki Mad, I was wondering if you could send me the VIN and Engine Number from your 1980 GS1000ET. I started a registry for the GS1000S models and Suzuki has given the ET the same starting numbers as the ST, so I'm also collecting the ET VIN's so I can get a rough idea as to how many...

    Winter Project...73 RD350

Chuck that is a beautiful bike, I love the colour scheme. That bike would fetch $2,500 minimum here, as is, without any work done. Look forward to following along. I too got me a winter project. 1974 Honda ST90.

Preferred method and tools for getting a stripped differential drainhole repaired.

Helicoil or Timesert, both work well, maybe Timesert would be better in this application. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RptM-jCzLtQ When installing in a drain pan it's important not to have a 12mm deep insert in a 9mm drain other wise it won't fully drain, so you can buy the right length or...

    MotoGP 2018 Discussion Thread **SPOILERS**

I watched Marquez's interview after the race and in particular, his explanation regarding his interaction with the marshals after his bump start. His explanation was they didn't clearly order him to pit lane and he believed one of them gave him the thumbs up to proceed on the grid, so I went...

    MotoGP 2018 Discussion Thread **SPOILERS**

Wow that was stressful watching that race today. I'll need to re-watch it once my nerves settle down. I do like how Marquez gives his best and leaves it all out there on the track, he can not be accused of playing it safe. With his aggressive riding style and his success he has made MotoGP...

Cylinder bores dropped out while heat curing engine paint.

To the original poster, you better check the paint can instructions, I believe the temp is 200 F (not 200C) to harden the paint, it is for VHT Engine enamels anyway. That would be 93C and probably not hot enough to drop the sleeves.

Will, pull on the knob and turn, it should pull out about 1/8" (3 mm) and turn. Welcome to the site and could you tell us about yourself, and a few pictures of the bike. Could post the VIN & Engine Number of your bike for the GS1000S Registry which I currently maintain. Regards, David
