A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Does my 81 GS750l like high revs/ when to shift?

careful... 80-82 GS750's eat rod bearings when abused...sometimes when not abused. if you think you hear a loose valve..tick tick tick...most the time it has spun a rod bearing instead.

if a person was in the states and mikuni still offered the free parts/repair....i'd go for it. yes nitrous back fires would split the plastic slides and destroy the needles as well. one other thing was the mixture needles when ran down all the way(more than lightly) would break the tips off. the...

    36 Flat Slide carb Kit?

i had a set of 36 side pulls once. the most these carbs used to need was the bowl o-ring and maybe the drain o-rings unless they had plastic slides like my side pulls did...mikuni was replacing them free of charge for billet slides but...you had to ship them the carbs and they did the install...

    Head gasket type 1260 11.5-1

i have never removed o-rings before as far as to change gasket style. i was just wondering if the o-ring area on the liner tops would maybe make for a weak spot on the MLS sealing area....maybe not with his compression but if a person added a power adder later on.

what about the o-rings in the liners?

    Head gasket type 1260 11.5-1

i myself would not use an MLS with o-ringed liners. also i use Gasgacinch on copper head and base gaskets. with the APE studs you can torque it down to 40lbs. safely. APE nuts would be a nice touch. if using an 1100 head you only need 6 of the HD nuts instead of 12.
