A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

what did you wrench on today??

Been procrastinating on getting the BMW done, especially after buying a project 1990 F-150, so today I got the fuel distribution spider fully set, reinstalled the throttle cables, battery box, ECM, and reseated the airbox. I replaced the plugs and wires, reconnected the (new) injectors, and...

I added a front basket to the behemoth. I'm really enjoying this thing for commuting.

    e-bike commuting

LoL. I hear ya. Been riding BMX and mountain bikes forever (even raced in a few early SARA races back in the day). I unlocked the controller and this thing will hit a real 33 mph, but mostly I ride in PAS 3 or 4.

    e-bike commuting

Garth, I bought a Chinese supertanker: Aipas M2 Max. 106 pound hunka love. I really do like it. I'll have Tannus Armour liners in the new tires as soon as they arrive, but I ordered them from England (and, surprisingly, got a helluva deal on them).

    e-bike commuting

Added panniers to the rear rack today. Ordered a front basket. Mounted a tool kit with manual and C02 inflation. Not impressed with the crank material, so those will be replaced soon.

    e-bike commuting

I ordered a Cambium C67 to replace the saddle on this beast. I also swapped the pedals for Look Activ Grips and will be swapping the knobby 26x4 tires for Arisun Big Smoothies with Tannus Armour liners.

    e-bike commuting

I bit the bullet and bought a class 3 e-bike which I am using 2-3 days for my 32 mile RT to and from work. It's an insane machine, and I love it. Anyone else own an e-bike?

How strict was school back in the day?

Regarding the OP's question, open ended as it may be, I had the dubious distinction of being the last 8th grader to be paddled by the principal at the middle school I attended. After that year, corporal punishment was taken off the operating menu, though it remained in the books as legal.

There actually are times...........when a rare politician proves they are real people

Reading is a dying form of entertainment, and writing is both dictating its demise and following its decline. My original point leaned in that direction. https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/2026/08/reading-crisis-postliterate-age/687618/

Ironic that you should comment on that given the number of times you've patted yourself on the back for some odd observation you made way back when in your previous career, but hey, at least you got a chance to be the hypocrite you typically are.
