    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Hannah Arendt's Philosophy on Totalitarianism

The unfortunate part of being a respected writer is that people can make you out to be infallible, confusing observation and contemplation with creating a new metaphysics. The creator of a novel set of observations is all too often confused with being a diety since many take their work as...

    Hannah Arendt's Philosophy on Totalitarianism

It could be a pick and choose on the part of those who wrote the presentation, I'm just glad I've come across it. As mentioned I'm going to see if this tidbit of philosophical candy has any flavor metaphorically speaking.

    Hannah Arendt's Philosophy on Totalitarianism

I'm not sure how I've overlooked this but am quite sure I'll be grabbing a copy of it soon! I've heard Hannah Arendt's name but haven't actually looked into her work. Check out this brief rundown on her work, it certainly appears timely!

    The left turn

I'm pretty sure that all the bikes I've ever owned have had the kick stand on the left side, maybe that has something to do with it. NASCAR runs around the track counter clockwise, maybe it's not about the lug nuts staying tight after all!

    The death of originality

Here's a really well explained video on how originality has been killed off. Having seen his happen so many times before the Internet even existed it's quite apparent that the Internet just accelerates this trend.

Tire Mounting/Balancing Service... Thoughts and Opinions.

I've been up to 90-95 on a couple of my bikes with it, first heard about from Grimly here on the forum.

Tire Mounting/Balancing Service... Thoughts and Opinions.

It's more of a gel than a liquid, stays on the inside of the tire just fine and sticks to the inside of the tread area. As the old adage goes "So thin you'll never know you're using it"

Tire Mounting/Balancing Service... Thoughts and Opinions.

The times that I've used ceramic beads they've tended to clog up my valve stems and look like nothing more than dust when I change the tire. I've used steel beads once and although they did "good enough" the inside of the tire was full of rubber that had worn off. These days I use nothing but...

The oil shock is about to hit America

So far it appears that his prediction about oil prices hasn't come be, an awful lot of people have been scratching their head over that! Here's another well presented video he just posted. Again, lots of speculation which he clearly states as such but still, it does help to give us a better...

Looks like a few wet days ahead

I want my UJM back! Replacing spark plugs, lube up the Speedo and throttle cables and figure out why the coolant overflow tank isn't staying full. Looky at all the CRAP that had to be removed just to do some simple maintenance. Thanks to Wendell at Smitty's Motorcycle Lodge in Tellico Plains...
