    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    It could be worth doing a coil relay mod as others have done . sometimes voltage to coils can be iffy on old wiring looms and its difficult to distinguish from carb faults fueling. symtoms such as misfires, bad starting, no revving can all be down to voltage to coils being bad

    You should be able to pick up used original airbox and all the bits you need to get it back to standard from ebay. I bet it will work out cheaper than a set of k and N pods. All the cafe racers will be taking their air boxes off!! So should be some available.

    Just found factory spec .035-.045mm had looked at manual on Basscliff site but missed page with the specs on cruzin image also got back to me with the same specs for their pistons thanks for advice.

    Cruzin image got bck to me and said the gs650 pistons i bought from them should have a bore piston clearance of 0.035mm to 0.045mm thats 0013"---to 0017" acording to the piston manufacturer Dont know what suzuki recomended on their gs650 pistons.

    Leaning towards 0025" now will call mchine shop tomorrow. If rings allow for extra might go for closer to 003" last thing i want is piston seizure or huge ring gaps.

    Why would you fit 650 head onto 550 cylinders and pistons they have different combustion chambers 650 head will fit on 650 cylinders onto 550 cases easy ish but you have to open crankcase to enlarge a bit for 650 cylinder liners. but to try and and fit 550 on 650 why!! It should be possible...

    Compression sounds good .whilst you have head off how about a quick lap of valves very slight and new valve seals as your seals have hardened by now if original. Rings sound good to leave alone.Also if retorqing head bolts haynes manual gives 15.9lbs ft where as suzuki gives 18.9lbs foot...
