    Black wire In hand comes out of Wire harness, not sure where it was supposed to connect too, The starter relay already has a B/W connector, and if I ground this one It wont allow the starter to turn over...

      Black with white tracer is ground. Attach loop to solid and clean ground point. Beware of the stock grounding points on that bike; some go to the rubber mounted battery box, or small flimsy brackets. You want a solid point.

      Regarding wiring in general, be sure to download the factory manual off Basscliff's site.

        11 years ago my APE pods were half the cost of K&N, every bit as good looking and performing. No other brands that I know of offer acceptable performance. So, negatory on those cheap China pods.
        1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

        2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.
