A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

What do you mean by driver? The disc? The disc contains no important info and is basically useless with that broken English manual.

Or do you mean that when you plug it into the computer, it does nothing? Try a better USB cable if so. The one supplied is junk.

Very frustrated trying to download the vid to some place I can use it.It loads to the FinePix viewer with the USB cable no problem. Can watch them there with it plugged in.Unplug it and they're gone!I must be missing a step somewhere but being a computer noob I have no idea what it is:mad::o

Have you tried uploading directly to Photobucket ? Plug in the usb cable, then go on Photobucket. Click upload now and choose the camera to upload from.

So any feedback or video on the many of this cameras used by fellow members? Cliff's video was the only input I ever saw. I would like to buy a couple of them, any input?
thanks guys...

This is an older thread, don't know if the guys are still using them, would be nice to know if they still work or got disposed of like bic lighters...ebay has plenty of them for sale from various sellers ranging in the $10 area still including shipping.

Not sure what others are doing, but used mine once or twice and then put it away and never touched it again.
It works fairly well, but is finicky to use. The controls are tiny, the LED's are impossible to see in daylight and its very hard to point/aim it correctly when hand held. Its an interesting toy, but for $10 one should not expect too much.

Josh, i noticed the sound level changed a bunch of times in your clip.
The lack of wind noise/buffeting was terrific. Did you muffle the audio pick-up at all?

I did some research on this recently and found that this camera is mediocre but there is a similar one that people like better.

Look up the 808 spy cam. Its in the shape of a car remote, which is pretty cheesy, but I've heard that it is an excellent little camera.

There are 3 major revisions;
the #3
the #11
and the #16

the number 11 and 16 is true HD. check out some reviews on Youtube.

no didnt muffle it at all, i think it was because it was mounted on my visor and the angle of my head may of changed the way the wind went over the microphone.

The main problem people have with the camera is using the memory card that comes with the camera ( some come with it and some dont ) I used one from an old mobile which is a name brand one and got heaps better video than others out there.

But for around $10.. you cant go wrong, my main reason for it was to upload videos to youtube, if i was making a movie etc out of them then i would probably go a HD camera and spend more than $10. i actually have 2 of them, the first one came with a broken clip on one of the holders so they sent me a complete camera again with a new clip mounted on it for free.

I agree that the value is unbeaten and the size and shape is excellent for mounting anywhere. I mounted one of mine in my helmet... see link for footage. http://youtu.be/8poiz7Frc9w
The internal sun visor gets in the way a bit, but for $10 who cares. Footage ain't bad either but I want better quality. I have tried the Posiden POS for short. Footage on that isn't that much better yet is about 10x the price... see link http://youtu.be/Lk8wAuvxscU
Looks like Go Pro is the way to go if you wan't good lighting, colour and resolution.

This is my favorite video... my fish
