Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Wow, I'm seeing 100% ethonal free gas in my area all of a sudden. In big bold stickers on the pumps.

Corporate 'sh-pin' at it's finest. Lets not make ourselves look bad by using precious corn stocks to make ethanol in a year where the corn supply are very low; let's just say our fuel is now ethanol free! Yeh - Yeh that's it!

Fools...

I inquired about that here, they said all 3 grades are ethonal free. I knew this was going to happen due to the drought this year in the corn states.
Don't count on the feds doing anything logical or humane - pro ethanol groups swing a big stick in DC- they ain't likely to give up their subsidies .

Have you been here? - http://pure-gas.org/

You can find all the stations in your area that sells ethanol-free gas. I discovered a great little independent gas station not far from my home that I never even knew was there. The owner loves classic cars so he sells ethanol-free fuel.

I go there all the time now.

In BC all Chevron stations carry 94 octane ethanol free gas. Not sure about the rest of Canada.

I had heard something on the financial news in the early summer that non ethanol gas would be a possibility as the the drought devastated the corn stocks, still we have plenty of ethanol gas here with only a few stations in the 50 mile radius offering non-ethanol, but I'll keep an eye out.
Would be a blessing if I could find one locally.

There is one on my way to work but the gas is already 15 cents more a gallon there than another place I pass. Looks like I would have to buy 93 octain instead of 89. That makes it a total of about 50 cents per gallon more expensive. I do have a teeny "L" tank so it would only be an extra dollar per fill up. With the improved mileage from non-ethanol gas it might just even out...

Just one question....How can you verify that the gas is indeed ethanol free?
It's not that I don't trust people...it's just I don't trust people when money is involved.

I have one small station/car shop in my area with ethanol free gas (plus the marinas). I'd driven by it many time without realizing it was a non-branded gas station. But you folks are missing the more important EPA decision regarding E15 gas, vice the current E10 (I'm pretty sure there is a thread somewhere on here about it already).

Simplifying things greatly, Corporate gas stations will be required to offer E15, and if the gas station uses a blending gas pump like most do, the MINIMUM E10 purchase (every motorcycle manufacturer has said E15 is dangerous) will be 4 gallons because the pump has to purge out the possible E15 still in the pump from the previous customer. Um, I've only have to go to reserve once in 8000 miles, so over 4 gallons once in my 5 gallon tank (which is larger than many here).

The Harley D folks are all over this. I'm expecting MC rallies in DC next Spring 10x larger than the anti-Iraq War protests (with 10% of the coverage) if this isn't killed.

This one is political, but largely non-partisan. It is geographic, buying off Iowa voters and middle America Congressmen of both parties. Plus the bureaucracy of the EPA (Law was signed by Bush, supported by Obama, but the car-centric regulatory implementation by the EPA is what is ****ing off the motorcycle community - and anyone with a boat, lawn mover, ATV, ....). I'll give you links to the left and the right saying how ignorant this is:

Progressive left:

Or from the libertarian right

I hope this regulation is going to die a swift death.
