I believe I've posted about this before regarding cam chain pin count. My arrows line up where there supposed to, but the diagram on 3-68 of the factory manual shows the pins line up on a different link.
My cam chain on the exhaust cam starts one link pin to the right of the diagram, but ends on the proper 20th link pin on the intake cam.
The Haynes manual for the 1100 actually has an incorrect diagram from 1 page to another, regarding pin orientation, so I'm wondering if the factory manual does too. The journal notches face inwards and the exhaust cam arrow is flush with the head surface. The cam lobes face outward over # 4. The reason for cam removal was to change valve guide seals on a 105,000 mile motor. Cam chain doesn't appear bunched under crank sprocket, any thoughts, observations appreciated.
