DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

1150 EF updating project

I have some ideas about painting , but it is secret .
I hope it is ready to "fire up" in summer . In that time when body parts are in painter I?m goin to make owerhaul to the engine .
There is some parts still missing ; Dyna coils , stronger clutch and maybe pistons .

If someone knows where to buy coils and clutch , I?m interested .
Those parts are much cheaper outside Finland (example in USA ).

To Planecrazy :
You are wellcome to Finland ! Let me know if you are coming

At the risk of being lazy and not reading every single post. Where is this blower from?

You're kidding ... right? Your own post (with Blower's quote) holds the answer to your question.#-o:razz:  ;-)

To Blower: Thanks for the invite! If I somehow find myself travelling to Finland I will DEFINITELY let you know beforehand and come pay a visit! On the other hand, if you travel to Chicago someday you have an open invitation to stay at my place.

Regards, Pal!!

I was misunderstood. I was refering to the supercharger on the project bike.....not blower the builder from Finland.

Sorry about that, Buddy!! I certainly DID misunderstand what you wrote, but at least it provided for a good laugh -- I almost fell off my chair laughing when I saw your response and realized what you were asking!!!:lol::lol:;-)

Drive

Drive

Such a fantastic machine and build.
May I ask how you did the drive for the blower? Did you use the factory single pin on the crank that drives the stock ignition or did you make a special end for the crank?
Whoever had a Turbine bike, how about some fotos for grins?

It?s press tight fitting which uses that factory single pin + green Loctite + center bolt . There is support bearing behind the pulley . It should hold power what blower takes .

I?ve been on holiday in Thailand one month to meet my local biker friends and getting new ideas on bike building ( yes , and drinking beer ) .
I had my suzuki seat in Thailand and now it?s wrapped with stingray skin .

Nice work.
Really enjoyed following your project.
Helps me keep motivated.
We ought to get a group together from the states and come over to see it in person.
My grandfather on my mother's side was from Suomi. If we ever make it over the pond[-o<

Some updates after few month . It was "good" summer week ( raining ) to spend in garage .

I polished aluminium tail , what a job . Aluminium was too soft to get real mirror finish but after
3 hours working it looks this :

You know how highly I think of your work so I feel comfortable criticizing only one aspect of the "new" look. In my opinion, the tank is all wrong for the bike. With all the beautiful flowing curves I would go back to the original tank, or perhaps put on a custom tank that picks up on the lines of the case covers. Other than that it's awesome!!

...And, as usual, the continued progress with your bike looks amazing ... truly inspired work!!!
