A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I purchased an 84 1150es and am totally in love with it. Eight other bikes in my garage and the es is the one i seem to always take on head clearing rides. I have an 08 Kawasaki zx14 that I put buell footpegs on to stretch my 6'3" leg out a bit and was wondering if anyone ever found lower pegs for the es foot rests that can go on with little modification. They are not terribly high stock but i would love an extra inch or so.
PS tried and 1150 E model (not for me) and I guess I am one of the small minority that prefer the ES. Go figure.

WOW!! 6'3" legs?

What's that make you, about 13' tall? :D

Sorry, can't help much with the footpeg question, just amazed at how tall you are. :-\\\

.

i'm 6-2 1/2 and find myself wanting to stretch a little more, but the seat was lowered by using less foam by previous owner. do you have a lowered seat that could take factory thickness?

Without knowing exactly how they are mounted, couldn't pretty much any machine shop make some little externder plates? All of $25 probably.

What about putting on some 1150E pegs?

EDIT: Did some checking and it appears that the pegs are the same so no love for this thought.:(

Is there a difference between the pegs for an 1150E and an ES?
I put ES bars on my E and now I would like to move my pegs up and back just a smidge because it seems I'm always touching down a foot when I really don't want to.

I'm 6'5" but not particularly long legged.

I could definitely do with a bit more space between butt and foot, but I don't want to drop the pegs at all. I've already touched the asphalt more than once with my toe during turns, so I'm going to be building up the seat a bit higher with fresh foam and a new cover.

If anything, I might consider moving the footpegs back a bit, but I'm not sure how I'll like that position.

Yeah back a much better choice than down.
