I am getting closer to boring out my project bike 1100e block. I had some discussions this weekend at moosehead. I was originally going to go 1166/68 which changed to 1197. Now I am considering 1260, all 10.5:1 compression.
I want it streetable and plan to run gsxr36mm flatslide carbs, stock 1150 cams, high vol oil pump gears, oil cooler, and topend oiler. It will have a ported 1150 head as well. The head came of a well tuned 1229 (1150) with 38mm rs fatslides. It won't be a track bike except perhaps on a rare occasion with the GSR gang.
I guess i am concerned with throttle response and overheating. I have been assured that with mild cams and the gsxr carbs tuned on the rich side I will have good mid range and no overheating issues unless I get stuck in bad traffic. Your thoughts.
