I've been scratching my head for a while now regarding this crankshaft that I pulled out of this motor and I have a couple questions that hopefully someone can shed some light on. 1) when I pulled the crank from the case there was no thrust bearings and every part diagram I look at pictures the thrust bearing with the crank so I ordered one and they are not even close to fitting the clearance is way too tight. So was there a certain year that suzuki started implementing these thrust bearings? It's a 1981 and if they are supposed to be there I'm guessing the previous owner took it apart before and left them out and I just got the wrong size. 2) the crankshaft has the typical A and B markings for identifying the crankcase bearings but for the connecting rods the only markings are on the 1 and 4 journals, there is no numbers for identifying the 2 and 3 journals. Has anyone encountered this before and should I just measure and pick the closest bearing size for these two unmarked journals. Any insight would be greatly appreciated because I am stumped. I can provide pictures if it would help.
Thanks guys,
Shane
