I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I totally understand..if I had a spare set laying around i would give ya the things. The bodies and rack never go bad unless you drop and break them. The only real maintenance is a cleaning now and then and freshening up the orings about every 20 odd years, so a set sitting around arent a bog loss or anything!!! just wish i had some to give you.

Well this is a shout out. If anyone has a set of VM26s that they want to donate to the cause feel free. Haha

Yeah I know. Of course i said it jokingly, but i'm sure you knew that. I saw that someone had a set in the for sale section for $75. not sure what kind of shape they are in. But if anyone does have some they want to get rid of or sell let me know. But again i would like these that i have to work and maybe with all of the combined knowledge here we can figure it out.

Well all youd need to do is dip them and get them really clean in the bodies..we already know the stock jet sizes and where to set the pilot and air screws. You have already got the dipping and cleaningb part down, so once thats done put in the stock 100 Main jets, the 15 pilot jets, be sure the needle jet on the slide is a 5F21 and the clip is on the center groove. And we already had established that the pilot screw is at 7/8 out from bottom and the air screws are at 1 1/2 out from bottom. All the specs and settings have already been figured out via my same bike and problems.. clean ..assemble..set up like mine is..ride and fine tune!!!!

HC-GS, post your inquiry for carbs in the parts wanted section; that's the proper place for it anyway.

Oh I know. Just thought I would mention it in here since it stemed from humor in a previous post.

Those are really close to mine. Mine has one fuel inlet. It also has metal(aluminum) T's in between the carbs. Those are black, but can't tell if they are rubber or not.

I will. As soon as i get home i will look and see if i see any numbers and take pics of the bottomof the carbs to see if you see anything.

Here are the pictures that were requested. I did not see anywhere on the bottom of the carbs that had a number. Maybe somewhere else?

on the rims where the bowls mate up..on any of the slide towers..on the edges of the rack..look at every concievable place..I did notice too that the slides look a bit scored there!!! Thats the air jet..it should screw out. What size is it?is it al nice and clean? did you poke the hole out with a wire??

Must be the picture because the slides are smooth as glass! I didnt know until earlier that there was an air jet in there so i will have to use a wire in all those. And there is no way to take that out. There is one in the other lower hole as well.

They usually have a small flat tip slot to remove them..try one very gently and see if it gets a bite. yeah at the very least take along thin wire and run it up in there. blow some carb cleaner in there and then blow the snot out of it with some compressed air. Seal the tip right up against the hole so the full force of the air slams thru there.

Look on the two bolt flange area (head side of carb). check on all the carb bodies.

it looks like I see something stamped on the flange in this image... below your finger tip in the upper right.

Dale does the one pic of the air jet look like its slotted to you or am i seeing an abnormality in the casing??

Tried a screw driver and I believe what you were seeing was a peice of trash which is now gone. On the flange it says 299 with 02 under it on on the left side and the right side of the flange says 7 with a 17 under it. Idk how you saw that, good eye!

see reply #3

it looks like those carbs use an O-6 needle jet, 17.5 pilots with a 1.5 cutout in the slides.

if you could find the correct needle and needle jet (if different than yours) they might work fairly well but I think the air bleed for the pilot circuit might be to big for your 750.

If it were me.I think i would get a set of Suzuki VM 26s and since you now know they are for a 77 Kaw, sell them on ebay for a buy it now price of what you have into getting the right carbs and the right jets..That way the forum can help in the future better and the bike is set up the way it is supposed to be. thats just me though.
