If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I found gold tonight my friends!!

All this time I have been looking for some GS projects and have come up empty handed.

Well Tonight my friends....I picked up this gem:

1979 GS750E
9200 miles
tank in cherry condition
Vance & Hines 4 into 1 (brand new)
Wire wheels that are immaculate!
Runs like a bat outa hello!
New back Tire
All electrical working
Kick start!!!!!

You can see part of the left side next to me gs250 project.

Congrats. And you have a really nice head start, that is a clean looking bike.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

wow! looks nice. wash it wax it & change the oil then ride it.

Wow, what a coincidence. I stumbled onto a 78 CB750. It not nearly as nice as yours, but the price is right (free). I just gotta go pick it up, and hide it for a while. My wife will strangle me if I bring a third bike home!

Well done you! that is a gem ;-) looking forward to seeing what your plans are for it.

Mark...

Heres some pics in the daylight before I get started tearing it apart \\:D/ .

My wife will strangle me if I bring a third bike home!

Same here, unless I get one of the other two running and rideable first, or the third is running. Still trying to kill all of the gremlins on my GS.

Are you going to change to dual brakes up front?

I dig your work, dude.:-D

I'm jealous, except for being a 79 instead of a 78 that bike is exactly what I was looking for. I just bought a GS850G, but if I saw one like this around here in the same condition I'd jump all over it. I've checked out the posts on one of your other projects, I'm sure this one will be just as cool.

Started chopping of the tabs and seat supports.....I cut about 6" off the back end. I decided to gut the center like I did on the GS250 and buy a smaller battery that will fit under the rear cowl.

I'm Done!!

I'm Done!!

Well....the internet guys working on the lines on my block and I couldn't post any build pics.....but I finally finished! 12 days of grinding.... bodywork....fiberglass....polishing....and painting!...

I decided to go with House of Kolor "True" black with House of Kolor "Kosmic Silver" for the checkers and the stripe on the fender I also used 3M Hyper Silver pinstriping ..... Than I laid down about 10 coats of clear to make it appear to have a level surface on top of the pinstriping.

I also painted the frame with oil based enamel.

I decided to gut the center like I did on the GS250 because I liked the Clean look it gave.

Heres what she looks like now.

wow man, just hide that back break resevoir and your golden. it would look perfect then. you could just put on a longer line and hide it under the seat, then you can hide the line next to the frame and no one will see it, a clean shot all the way through!

it really does look amazing as is though.

Thanks!... I thought about the brake res...but with all the electrincs and battery under the seat...theres not much more room under there....I'll have to do some more measuring.

That's a nice looking machine & a heck of a change from 12 days ago. I don't know if it would be worth the effort, but you could slide the rear brake reservoir down the frame tube a few inches to clean up the look a little.
