I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Worked one the bike for a while today.....got the master cylinder on......front brake light working.....the swingarm back on and the rear wheel back on as well.....

After I hooked the brakelight up I tried the lights and they worked.....I tried the back brakelight and everything went out.....now nothing works...I tried a new main fuse.....no luck......any ideas what happened.......

Nothing works......where are the other fuses....I couldn't find any more...

Okay, looks like I misspoke and you only have the one fuse. Have you tested that fuse with a power light or multimeter to ensure it's still good?

It can blow under the metal caps.

Check every connection and look at your ignition switch too.

Ok.....I had to stop soon after that happened but I will look into that....I tried a new fuse.......why would running the rear brakelight do that though

Stranger things have happened. Either way, I would still look over every connection and make sure they are all pretty well cleaned up.

Well upon closer look I found the problem......it was the main fuse.....there is power to but not through.....and the one end is corroded a little so I think that's the issue......so ill be replacing it with a regular style fuse soon........thanks for The help.....

Good call, exactly what I was going to suggest :D

Those glass style fuses and holders are just too dodgy, especially the 30 year old variety...

Well last night I got my my new fuse holder put in...everything works great now...

Also cleaned the carbs and replaced orings......the choke plunger on the right carb was stuck tight......

Also got the new master cylinder bled out and its working fine now.......

That fuse holder looks pretty much the same as mine, definitely a good upgrade over the dodgy glass stock one :)

Did you actually dismantle and dip/soak the carbs to clean them? You may find you still have old fuel varnish in the passages if you didn't... not sure what state they were in to start with though.

New O rings is good though either way!

They didn't look terrible so i just sprayed everything with a lot of carb cleaner and that got them clean.......

Just keep in mind that if you get weird behaviour once it's all together that some passages may end up with fuel varnish in them still... need a real good soak in proper carb cleaner to get all the nooks and crannies clean.

I'd suggest they need a good soak if they sat for any more than about 6 months without being properly drained and having seafoam (or whatever the fuel stabiliser is called) mixed in with the fuel...

so on the carb float bowls right by the drain plug there is a port or nipple(whatever you wanna call it)...and on the main body there is a port....right now the ports on the main body have a hose connecting the two and the ones off the bowls are just open......is that correct and what is their purpose.....

theres a carb pic on post #89...i will get a better pic tonight though...the port im wondering about you can see on the left carb body just to the right side of the "mouth" its kinda brass colored......the ones on the float bowls are just drains i believe...but i cant figure out the ones on the body.

That hose looking bit joining the carbs... on my 450 carb's that's where the T piece plugs into both carbs which is where the fuel line attaches from the fuel tap...

Here's the pic....the hose on the right is my fuel line....the item in question is the brass colored port at my fingertip.....there's one on each carb and are joined by a hose.

Aaah! They're the overflows... and no they shouldn't be joined together...

nice....will be seperating them then...so they are overflows and the ones on the drain bowls are just drains then????

Forgot about the float bowls sorry! Have you got a close up of them? All my float bowls have is the bolt that's a drain but also serves as access to the main jet...
