A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

1980-81 gs1100 gauges 140 mph ?

I have a gauge cluster I just took apart because I just needed the bulbs. the speedo and tach casings (orange plastic) were all siliconed or epoxyed because of cracks. Anyway, it came from a salvage yard and said 80 or 81 GS1000 and the speedo goes to 140mph. (I'll get pics tomorrow as tonight I'm too tired and sleepy).

I put the speedo on my GS850 the other day and it seemed to work fine.

It's not a US gauge set?

Will you sell it to me?

here are the pics. Can someone tell me what year these might be off of.

Looks to be a 1979 GS 850G speedo assembly as I have put one of these on my 1980 GS 1000G (there's nothing more repulsive than an 85MPH speedo) and the 140 speedo works fine in place of an 85MPH speedo) and I think 1983 or 4 is when they did away with the 85ers, I swapped out my 82 550MZ to and 83 GS 650 120 MPH speedo love it. I dont care if the bike could only do 70 MPH I still hate those 85 MPH speedo's

I like the looks of the 80 GS850 cluster but hate the 85mph limit. I pass faster then that most of the time.

I might try and use the higher MPH speedo if I can make it look Good w/o using the rest of the cluster.

But if anyone needs parts that are in good condition (tkent02 having first dibs) they can have them. The tach glass is in excellent condition same as the black casing and chrome back. not sure how the tach and speedo got all messed up

Shoot me a message if any1 wants any of the parts.
