A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Sean and I've been using this site for a while now while bringing back to life a 1980 GS1100. So much great info on here. Thanks!
Issue I'm having is I broke off one of the posts on the far right carb when I first got it. I jimmy rigged it and it works intermittently. When it doesn't it dumps fuel out of the overflow. I just bought a 1980 GS850 set off ebay and I'm reading that they are different. Anyone have the far right carb off a 1980 GS1100 they want to sell me? Or trade the entire set of GS850 for the one GS1100? Can I use the 1 carb off the 850 with the others? This bike is super fun when it runs correctly.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, the 850 used the BS32SS while the 1100 and 1000 used the BS34SS. You can not use the 850 carbs with the 1100 carbs.

I will look thru my carb junk pile tomorrow and get back to you on here. I have a complete set and several carbs {4-5} but it has to be the carb for that position only. Some of the ones I have the idiots stripped the screw heads off the pilot or mixture screws

I actually own the same bike. When I bought mine I found two of the float mounts had been jimmy rigged and they also dump fuel.
I have been searching for another carburetor to fit but its hard to find specs on the 1100 anywhere (for me any how).

I heard you can fit any suzuki 1100 carb up to 92 on these bikes, have you had any luck?

I have a carb for you, and would be willing to take you up on that trade. :D
My offer is still good. :o
