DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

1981 GS750L turn signal relay. Where is it located?

Ok, so I've looked through the electrical diagram and the owners manual, and searched through a bunch of threads, but I haven't been able to find anything to help answer my question.

Where is the turn signal relay located on my bike? 1981 GS750L

I have checked on both sides of the battery box, and the only thing that somewhat resembles what might be my turn signal relay is a black box (located on the right hand side) with 6 wires going into it, part # 32900-451. None of the wires are the 'orange/green' and 'light blue' wire that are identified on the wiring diagram. To me, this looks like a turn signal control module.

The reason I ask, is because I want to replace the relay to a new electronic flasher unit, because I have after market turn signals that flash too fast, and at times have a mind of their own.

From what I have read, they relay turn signal unit should be a plug and play unit, right? Do you know how many prongs it would be on this bike (2 or 3?)

Any help would be appreciated.

Mr Basecliff will send you a link to his website and some other links for your bike.
So much great info on this site and some great people as well.

Thanks! Yah, I've been lurking for quite some time and have learnt a ton. I should get a few pics of the 're-done' L posted for everyone to see.

Now that you mentioned it, I remember seeing the relay there....but of course wasn't paying any attention to it.

Nice avatar by the way....glad you like the good stuff!
