DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Yes it was from a rattle can--was going to bring it to a shop --but for 12.00 X 5 cans for the bike=60.00 dollar paint job , I'll take my chances, I think it looks great so far, if I screw it up --off to the autobody shop I go!!

Are these rattle cans off the shelf touch up spray cans or did you have the "Cool Beige Metallic" --code ZA4--it was used on the 2005 Suzuki XL-7 cars put into a rattle cans ?

Local place in town mixes the paint in the rattle can, for the code ZA4, 2005 suzuki XL-7, it was almost 13.00 a can, i know the dupli-color is cheaper at 6.00 a can but they do not make that color---

ok next question...where did you by the paint?

Ya the black motor has an extra 8HP, whoopie--if the lighter colored GS was made in late 1982, they have the same power--I rather have the nicer, color, build my motor and blow your doors off--with an extra 40 hp-than worry about who has a black motor-but thats just me!! :D I see you have a Blue and White GS, my favorite bike--but like the Stones said you cant always get what you want--nice bike though---

To get the correct colour for a motorcycle is not quite as simple as it is with a car paint code. I can tell you now that the local paint shop punched the paint code for your bike into the computer and it didn't find it.right? This is because it is a MOTORCYCLE colour, to get a motorcycle colour code to work you need an experienced paint shop, who knows that motorcycle colour codes dont work the same, they actually need to do some stuff to find it, The paint codes have not been deleted!!! What you need is the brand of the motorcycle; i.e. Suzuki. then you need the model year; i.e. 1982 ( note any Suzuki motorcycle built from the 7th month of the previous year is the following year model; i.e. 7/81 is an 82 or Z model)and a colour code. I have worked in the motor industry for many years and with a lot of beaters and painters, this is how I know.

Doing another bump to this thread with good information about the champagne color that I have.

It's funny, I have the champagne and wanted the red, and Maro has the red and likes the gold. We should have traded dealers in the early 80's.

In another thread / site? someone had mentioned they found a match for the red as the current Inferno Red on Chrysler vehicles. Not sure if it's the pearl version or not.

let's see your paint and talk about switching! haahhaha

Perfect tank, plastics are starting to craze. While I would repaint, I don't think I would change her color. But if you've ever selling ......

I think the '82s red with the non-black motor / exhaust are the most beautiful examples of the species.

Edit - Maro, just read your message in the other thread about all your bodywork. Sounds like your covered for any mood your in.
