A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

1982 GS1100gl project

Well Im going to wrap this project up. I have been breaking the bike in on two recent rides. The first ride I had a minor problem. I forgot to install the spring on the idle screw and it vibrated inward causing my RPM to increase to 3,000 at a stop. Also when I was syncing the carbs I could not get carb 2 to sync properly. I was thinking I must have a vacuum leak somewhere, then it dawned on me that carb 2 feeds the vacuum operated petcock and I forgot to plug the line, Dah. Otherwise I could not be happier with the results of this build. The 1134 Wisco kit is performing nicely and the bike pulls good. Only been reving to 6,000 for now but I can feel how it will be once I let it all hang out. Thanks for viewing. Now on to my next project which is a XJ550 Maxim.

Yes we restored that bike(Z1B) two years ago and restored his Z1 last winter

Wow! I had a '73 that I bought from a widow (true story).

Is that one for each year from '73 to '76? A two stroke 750 triple (H2?) would look real nice in that group. I'd love to see pics and hear about each of those. My Z is still a recurring feature of many of my dreams.

The Z1's I have are an early 73 built in Oct 72, an original 74 Z1A I bought from a friend who passed several years ago, and 2 75 Z1B's. I have sold two of my 74 Z1A's and contemplating on selling one of the 75"s. I have had several 76 KZ900's and 1 78 KZ1000 but sold them before restoration. The value on those bikes are not quite there. It gets expensive to restore these things. I also have a restored 73 RD350, a 72 XS2 650 Yamaha, a 74 CB550. My modern bike are a 2013 FJR1300 and a 2020 Tracer.
