I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have just bought a 1982 GS850G and I live in Australia.
The owner before me has painted it straight black and deleted all the decals.
Can someone please forward the correct decal layout for this year, or pictures of an original 82 model. I want to restore the bike back to its former glory!I have pictures of two different layouts and I'm not sure which one is correct. One is a dual pinstripe decal the other is more elaborate.
Thanks

Hi - I just purchased an original 82 gs850g here in Annapolis, MD with 14,502 on it. (Now 14601) I found the original sales brochure here www.suzukicycles.org/GS-series/GS850G_brochures.shtml for free. Check it out and enjoy (it's even from Australia) Mine's blue - when I get it looking shiny I'll upload some photos. Cheers.

Thanks very much,

Have seen the brochure does your decals match the brochure. Because I have seen various pictures of 1982 models with a twin pintstripe decal see attached.

Thanks

Hi David - got a chance to go for a quick little ride tonight and took some photos while the cover's still off. The light isn't the best - but it looks like the flash works. Don't mind the rusty spots, eventually will get rid of with some elbow grease. (it seems I can only post one) - let me know how I can show you the rear and side cover.

Hi Jeff,

Your bike matches the one in the picture I attached in my last reply- thanks for that.
But when you look at the brochure pics you referred me to they are different see attached.

Dave

You're right, they're different. Maybe that's a left over 1981 that they were trying to unload a bunch of in 82? Don't know, but that seems unlikely. I'll do some more searching and see if I can find that graphic on other 82s.

Hi david - It's been fun looking at loads of our type of 'cycle and it looks like the graphics on mine match all the other 82 models (that haven't been customized.) That sales brochure off Jarmo's suzuki site could have had the year mislabeled - or maybe that was an option. Will some other fine GS fan help us out and shed a little more light on this mystery?
