I swapped to some shindengen r/r not sure of the model or series or shunt.
If you know of a way I can get ahold of an inexpensive series R/R or if I can make one I'm all ears. I'll check out some diagrams tomorrow. I'm doing 12V accessory install full time as a job now. I've got access to lots of parts or pieces.
My PayPal account had a balance so I bought a gs500 stator that looked clean. I'm so broke it hurts to spend money hah!
Battery charging through a tender, riding on reserve and it's not even Friday.

The SH775 is apparently available brand new as a Polaris part from dealers for about $75... cheap as chips for a new item!

Do some searching on here for Polaris SH775 and you should find the part number.

I snagged a couple of side plastics from ebay that need painted. Both of them got prepped and one of them got shot with paint and had a little moisture in the line. Small dimples, maybe thirty total, cover the surface of the clear. Need to pick up desiccant filter for my gun. I'll probably just pretty it up, rebuild a few things and sell it the end of winter.

Hello hello how is everyone?

Time to get back into this project with my recent adventure, rebuilding the motor.
At idle it has a nasty knock on one cylinder that clears up at 2k rpm. I'm thinking loose big end rod bearing and a low oil pressure condition.
I've pulled the motor, ebayed gs500 oil pump gears, bought a gasket set to start with.
The clutch cover took a hit and cracked so the replacement is undergoing electrolysis treatment right now. It's going to be either cleaned and polished with the rest of the motor or all painted black.
Any thoughts? The hell kind of paint should I use on an aluminum motor?

Are there any easy or small mods possible to gain power on this motor? How much can I deck the head? Stock pistons are being kept unless cylinder walls are trashed.
