A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey, I've got a quick question for those of you who have swapped over to air pods to replace factory airbases.
I have a 83' GS650GL and I have this hose that comes off the engine and is supposed to be connected to the stock airbox. Not exactly sure what to do with it yet so I'm wondering what others have been doing with them, if anything at all?

Looks like the crank case breather hose that would have gone to the airbox you could just leave it although personally I would find a filter that would connect to the hose.
something like this although it in the uk you get the gist. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/c...uze-chrome-finish-red?request_type=bestseller

Yup the crankcase breather hose! Couldn't remember the name of it when i posted. Thanks, ill look into a small filter like that...although i think id definitely need to put on a shorter hose first, any kind of weight on there and it would be dangling around like a little bobble head!

I put a LONGER hose on my son's bike. :-k

Ran it all the way over the engine, down just past the swingarm pivot.
Cut the end at an angle to let the moving air suck any vapors out.

Pretty much the way all cars and trucks were, before the invention of the PCV valve.

That's a good idea too! :shame:
