oh i tried the original blinkers on it, but because i flipped the headlight brackets and they have a square hole cut in them for the blinkers i cant mount them facing forward, they either point down or up so looks like i will have to think of something else, maybe the ones i showed you in PM.

Aaah I get ya. Those ones looked ok, although they won't match the little ones on the rear there...

Tank was paint stripped, wire wheeled and sanded, i had to bog some dents in it and they still need another skim but i think some primer filler should fix it. So its in etch primer now and i have to say the grey colour of the etch really makes the tank look sharp, all the lines of the tank really stand out and it looks awesome, so i regret painting it black even more now! lol

I know i've been abit pic slack lately but i dont really have a camera at the moment i can use with dirty hands and sanding dust in the garage, will make sure i get some before and after pics of the tank and you can give me some spraying tips as i go along.

Now, what do you think for the colour of the engine? Do i go a satin black with matching exhaust or go for gloss black with satin exhaust?

C'mon Josh, I'm gonna stop believin' ya soon unless I see some pic's! :p

Personally with a black bike I'd be doing some polishing on that engine... but that's just me.

Yeah that is one option, was going to polish the side covers but i think that would look odd, will be putting the white line down the middle of the bike i've decided too, otherwise its just too black.

I've got work this weekend WOOHOO!! So can only work on it after that. My plan is to have it painted by the end of the weekend, but i doubt that will happen.

You've seen mine haven't you? Matte black crank cases and valve cover, case covers polished, head and barrels wet blasted...

Glad you're doing the white stripe, I think it looks the goods with that on it.

And I take it you're happy to be going to work? ;)

MONEY MONEY MONEY!!

Yeah i've seen yours, i think that may look a little odd on my bike though. I'm picking my paint up today so all i need now is some clear, primer filler, thinners & the air water seperator and i'm good to go! I just want it finished!

On a side note, that Katana i showed you which we washed and started to get running is back in the garage under christmas lights and dust again.. Going to head down in afew weeks and get it running, even if i have to do it all myself!

Cool, can't wait to see it finished either :D

Actually I can't wait to see mine finished...

And about bloody time is all I'm gonna say to that! :p

Okay i have all the stuff for painting it and the tank is now 100% spent all day today high filling and sanding and i'm pretty happy with it, working the next 2 days so nothing will happen till sunday first thing sunday morning i'll spray it! Woohoo!

On a side note, i put the home made headlight fairing on the bike i made out of the old helmet, and i dont like it...

Nice work Josh, looking forward to see how she turns out!

What's up with the helmet fairing? I thought it looked pretty cool originally but that was a while ago...

yeah it does still look ok, but i think i prefer the naked look or a full fairing bike.

Painted.

Found a happy medium with the spray gun, still have to wet sand abit to get it smooth but no where near as much as before. Its raining here so decided to fit the tank to the bike and put it all back together, the white line down the middle will come once it fines up abit, I cant wait to compound it and get it looking really shiny!

Also i left the headlight fairing on the bike that i made from an old open face helmet, i'm not a fan of it so it will be coming off.

Anyway here is a pic, sorry only a phone pic!

Going to get some white SUZUKI stickers for the tank, paint the engine, frame and exhaust plus the rear wheel, i need a new headlight bucket so if anyone has one i'm happy to take it off your hands, Going to tidy up the instrument box with some new paint and the handlebars need a really good clean up, i made them from an old set of bars that were bent. The mirrors will go and i'll get some bar end mirrors and i need new grips, the ones that are on it are 12 months old and have had it already.

Looking much better Josh!

And that helmet/fairing would look good without those instruments there...

Tank was cut back today with some machine cutting compound and a lambswool pad on drill attachment, one side of the tank needs a sand back and another coat of paint but the rest is great! cant wait to wack some polish on it!

Nice work Josh, that's lookin' good!

From that angle, that headlight fairing works really well too...

Thanks fellas its growing on me too but the bike still needs another colour on it i think, like a red pinstripe or something, am going to buy some bar end mirrors to get rid of the antennas lol
