There is also the "California" formula. Although it's not mandatory in California so I'm not sure why they make it. The run of the mill formula is pretty strong regardless. It will eat the zinc plating right off the steel parts which sucks when doing motorcycle carbs with the throttle shafts still installed. I just ordered an ultrasonic cleaner off ebay to avoid this. The strongest carb dip I've ever used was branded "Mckays". That stuff stunk to high heaven but it sure could clean carbs...and driveways. I used to use it to remove black grease stains off concrete and it was the only stuff I found that would do that and get the concrete properly clean.
If it don't stink then it's useless. LOL
