Did some Ebay sales to fund Dragbike and my car took a crap. I do my own work but the parts added up.

Been thinking of swapping out the 36 shot with a 60 shot for a few run's next week.

I like to get a sub 5.50 run and anything over 125 ?

Before I change the jets for some bigger ones I'm going to try my cam timing at 116-114 this Friday night. Got the exhaust at 113.5 but for some reason my intake at 118 even after I advanced it some ?? Anyhow she fire right up and still sounded pretty good. I'll do a compression check tomorrow and see if she's still above 200 psi ?

First run last night was 6.60 at 107. I just went alittle too wild with my cam timing, the bike was a dog off the line but did come alive down the track. So off came the cam cover and after a little adjusting the next run was a 6.14 at 112. Now that's more like it. Had another 1.99 nos run between the 330 to the 1/8 :dancing: that was a 5.77 run.

It was a bad night for the cars cause we had alot of oil downs and cars breaking. Our tow truck guy kept busy all night long, only made 4 runs so that tells you how bad it was.

We actually got out for out first T+T. They ground the shutdown last week. The racing surface was done last year. What an improvement. I tried some carb changes that didn't work so I didn't make one good pass. Did get to see some old friends and meet some new ones. All in All it was a good day.

well with the weather the way it is ... my only track time has been down South in GA for the First two AMA events... here's the report from this past weekend..

April's AMA event at Atlanta Dragway had be plagued with problems such as: the Clutch, the airshifter solenoid, to blowing a head gasket... I was off on my usual times preventing me from qualifying in the top 16 of the field to race with the A Class. Thanks to AMA's New Pro Street B Class I was still able to race on Sunday however... would have been a huge dissapointing trip if they had not incorporated this new class this year.

With blowing the head gasket on Sat.. my Crew Chief - Nem and Eric from Rev'd Up Motorsports began tearing my motor down to pull it in preparation of replacing the Head Gasket.

thanks to the well supplied Orient Express they had everything I needed this weekend to keep me up and running.. and special thanks goes out to Joe who offered to help replace the Head Gasket and do all that's necessary to get it back together right so Nem and Eric could stay up till 2AM Sunday morning puttin my motor back in the bike. Thank you boyz I most def couldn't have done it without you! Especially Nem with all the driving he did and wrenchin... :thumb:

After these three men busted their tooshed to get me runnin again I knew I needed to do my best on Sunday to have made it all worth their efforts.

With my qualifying times I got the bi in the first round.. it came down to Myself and Ricky Gadson in the finals.

We both cut the same tree and same sixty.. wasn't till mid track when my bike started to pull on his gaining just a tenth of a second...close to the end my bike acted like it had a boost leak and boged some. I couldnt' see him in my field of view but the folks from the side lines say it was anyones guess who was ahead till the Win light came on on my side after we crossed the traps.

As I let off the gas to slow down, his bike comes flying past me still going.. my first thought was oh **** did I let off too early? LOL as we both get to the same speed he raises his left hand and gives me the thumbs up.. at this time I still did not know who won.. I thought he might have just been tellin me "good run" or "good try".. it wasn't till I reached the turn off point where AMA's Mr Wade Clark has a grin from ear to ear and cheering me saying congratulations .. I swear my heart did a flip flop at that moment with the sudden realization that I won... :beechug:

On my way back to my pit area there were numerous folks clappin and givin me the thumbs up.. here I thought just because it was the "B" class no body would be watchin or would care.. but I guess I was wrong. Once back in the pit Nem comes to me and says Go see Ricky he said he'd sign your slip for ya.. so I quickly grabbed the camera and slip in hand to go see Ricky for this great honor!

We both agree however we plan to graduate from the B class iand be in the A class next time around  BUT I'm very APPRECIATIVE for AMA creating this "B" class to give us a chance to get more track time in and get the experience one can only get at these type of events.. Mr Dunigan from Dunigan Racing was kind enough to put up $ 200 to the winner.. talk about icing on the cake! Where else can you have a weekend of racing with the best and take a lil back with you to help cover the expense. I surely hope they continue this "B" class.. I can see alot of new up and coming racers gaining from it and hopefully draw more entries for it.

Thanks goes out to all the fellow racers who gave me encouragement to continue to race this weekend even after all the problems ... I'll see ya'll in MEMPHIS! :thumb:

Awesome writeup and great pics. Congratulations. Keep it up and keep them stories coming.

We got out for another T+T today. Weather was in the low 40's. DA was around 400 Feet. The wind was blowing across the track really bad. Kinda scary.

I'm running a home blend of E85 this year. Had another guy at the track tested it for me it's 84.9% Ethanol. The bike is scary lean. I'm guessing last year I was running alot lower % Ethanol that I thought I had. Last year I was running a 152.5 main jet. Off the trailer only went 9.78. MPH was way down and the A\F was really lean. Started going up on the jetting. Ended up with a 165 main and 1 up on the pilot. It's still a tad lean at WOT, but I did manage a 9.41 @137.

I plan to run points at Norwalk next weekend. I'm going to just up the jetting a bit more during the week. The only problem is the mid range is still really lean. Pops and bangs during the burnout. I need to check, but I think I'm already running the biggest needle I can get and it's all the way up. I might shim the needle a bit. Need to get the carbs apart this week and take a look at things.

thanks guys... got the video uploaded of the run... check it out..

hmm can't seem to embed videos .. you'll have to go to my website to see it.. on the 2009 Video Page.. can't miss it :p
