I am going to start the process of rejetting my own carbs. I was going to send this out to be done, but as soon as I pulled them apart to switch #2 out I noticed it was something I could probably do myself. So hopefully with help from my new friends( i.e. all of you )I should be able to do this all on my own with very little problems, I hope. Origonally the 801000g had a cheap aftermarket 4to1 pipe and a stock airbox. I believe I had a petcock let go on me in early 06. Fuel in crankcase. I pulled and cleaned tank, changed oil, changed clutch, bought a 4to1 pro-drag v&h pipe, k&n pods, purchased several pilot and main jet sets. had carbs rebuilt and synced in Indian before I moved to Oregon. The suzuki shop would not rejet the carbs for insurance reasons. So I started eavesdropping on yall and got an idea. Do it yourself silly.
First question. do I start with setting air screws from idle to 1/4 throttle, pilots from 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle, and mains from 3/4 to wide open?
If u have any hints they would be greatly appreciated.
I've already dealt with a GSResource member to help me get my carb that I needed And that went smooth as glass. So with any luck I can do this myself and I can ride my baby back to the techs garage that screwed her up in the first place and say I fixed his screw up and lay a big strip in front of his place of bussiness.
