    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

750T Fork Specs?

Does anyone have the measurements on the diameter of the inner tubes & the length of the outer tubes for the 750T's? I'm trying to avoid buying a caliper and ripping the front end apart if I don't have to.

Hopefully I can save you a bit of trouble. Sorry, but it's not metric, don't have anything metric in the place except for some sockets. Wait... there is a vernier caliper that I could use to measure with. Hmm... I'll have to do that tomorrow, when I go back. Till then, here's the standard measurements, if they help any.
On mine, the inner tube diam. is 1 3/8" and the outer tube length is 13 3/8" (not including the bottom bracket or the top rubber seal).

1.375 inch = 34.925 millimeter
13.375 inch = 339.725 millimeter

It ends up that the calipers are both standard, so I don't currently have a way to measure in metric. Hope this works for you. If not, I can see what I can do.
You might be able to loan a caliper. I know that at my local Napa, AutoZone and O'Reilly's they loan out tools. Put down a deposit, get the tool, and get back your money when you return the tool undamaged. This is how I'm getting a torque wrench. Dunno if they'd have calipers, but it can't hurt to call around and check.
 
I used the inner tubes from my '82 T and the lowers from my '81 E and they fit together. The T models inner tubes were about .75" shorter than the E, but the diameter is the same. It worked as an advantage on my E to quicken the steering up.
