A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Man, say what you will about the Honda's, but I have multiple options for exhaust.

EDITED: Because I typed this on my phone last night and forgot to add the model... GS550

I can only find used stock or MAC 4 into 1. Is that really it?
I've seen mention of Kerker or Bassani, but they're pretty much impossible to find.
Delkevic, Hindle, etc, only list the larger bikes.

Is that it?

It might help if you would reveal what bike you are talking about?

I don't know if fun enters into it, but we could go there.

I was getting out of the shower this morning and thought "You know....I don't think I specified 550...".

Edited original post. Sorry....my bad.

If gou had to choose between new MAC or a nice set of used E pipes/mufflers, which would you choose?

By all means go with stock Suzuki exhaust system. They'll be tuned to your motor, and add value to the bike. MAC systems are rubbish, IMHO.

I'm not a huge fan of MAC, but they're OK. The one I had on a 550 was fine. Nothing special, but not complete crfap, either. There's just no other options that I can find.

I don't know what that means ....or exactly how to take it. :/

I'm not shopping for a bike for my pipe. I'm shopping for a pipe for my 1980 GS550.

Anyway.... I found a good used exhaust. Talked to them in the phone and confirmed that they're solid and no rust through or soft spots. Only light surface stuff.
Able to purchase direct and got them for a good bit less than a MAC would cost.
Hopefully, they'll clean up well when they get here.
