77 gs750 owner checking in with a cool story and a question about the single fuse this bike uses. It is a 15 amp fuse, and I wanted to purchase several spares to have with the bike just in case.
Is there a specific type of fuse I should be looking for, other than 15 amp? Like what about voltage? I'd assume 12v.
Also is there a gsresources member that sells these, to keep the sale "in the family" so to speak, or should I just go with something like this off amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Handi-Man-Marine-180152-Glass-Fuse/dp/B002IV4RLC
The story is that I was working on installing a replacement OEM brake stop switch i picked up from Z1 this weekend, and in fiddling with the connections inside the headlight bucket I must have shorted the fuse.
Luckily there was a little yellowed-out plastic pouch attached to the fuse wire that stored a spare 15 amp fuse! I think it might be the original spare fuse that came with the bike, 35 years ago.
Thanks to whatever forward thinking Suzuki engineer decided to include the spare fuse pouch, great idea!
