    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I think that flowing an inward curve like your knee dents somehow into that tail piece would set off your tank/ seat setup. That's comng from someone who doesnt have the patience to bang 2 equal dents into a tank like you did though. haha.

Thats the plan boontonmike. Once I have the basic shape I'm gonna take a grinder and gouge out "knee dents" into the tail.

Not much to add to the bike build but the house is empty and coming down in the next week.

and my garage

I had no idea how much work this would be to move... get permits... find a place... etc...

The old house was a grand place but needed too much work.
The bonus was that we found a rental house two blocks away with a garage bigger then the one I left that is heated. The only downside is the rental places garage is not wired for 220 so my compressor and one of my welders will be useless.

It looks as though I will be doing more bike building as opposed to riding this summer.

I hope you get building again soon, I have been following your build closely it is so interesting how many different directions you can go on these GS's and they almost always come out cool.

Good luck with the new house!

I love this thread. Wonderful build.
It also makes me more aware to take care of my body parts.

No kids. Only need a yard big enough for a small garden and a fire pit.

If I could go back about 25 years I would definitely take better care of myself. You only get one body.

I will be back to building soon. The rental house has a nice large heated garage. I just gotta get organized over there.

Thanx for following. It helps keep me motivated knowing people are interested.

Hey Bruce.....

nice to see you back on the site, figured you got busy with the move and all, get settled in quick and get back to building.....there is only a few weeks left, and the good weather will be upon us, and it will be riding time.....I am shooting for May 1st, hopefully my build will be done, and even the new bikes will be in the garage by then as well

Thanks GK. I have been lurking the site still. Just haven't had much to post.
I'm pretty sure May is unrealistic for me but July might be possible.
Been following your build closely.
Must be pretty exciting to be getting the new bikes.

If I didn't just sign up for a new massive mortgage I would have bought the same bike you got two of. Nice little bikes for a great price.

That and the wife would kill me.

Bruce.

That looks like it might match up Erki. The other side is different right? I mean without the curve on the underside? More of a triangle?

That looks about right Erki.
Hard to tell as I had nothing there when I got the bike but they look right.
Let me know what you want for them.

Bruce.

Bruce, where did you go? It's been too long since you've posted any updates!

And I still need to get you those pegs. Will swing by tomorrow afternoon and drop them off hopefully for ya.
