I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey all, does anyone with an 80 - 82 450E or S happen to have their fork springs out or accessible?

I want to make some PVC pre-load spacers to try but as I need to take the 'bars off to get the cap nuts out, I want to be sure I have the right diameter PVC piping on hand first.

So, if anyone has the diameter of the fork spring handy that would be greatly appreciated...

I have got the trashed set off the Yahweh bike standing in the garage.

I can open them up and measure for you - if you can wait till tomorrow afternoon? Going riding first. :)

dont be so lazy Pete and pop one of your fork tops off ;)

Hahaha I would've done it by now if I didn't have to take the 'bars off first... just haven't had the time to go that far just to work out if I have the right diameter PVC first...

It's not *all* because I'm lazy :p

Cheers Wally, that'd be awesome! Absolutely no rush, mainly I just want to see if I have suitable PVC pipe here already.

I'm nearly finished fiddling with the carbs, so suspension is next...

you probably wont need to take the tops right out Pete, just unscrew them enough to measure the thread diameter, subtract 2mm and that will be the internal diameter of the fork legs

Now come on that's far too simple and logical for me! Why didn't I think of that? Sheeesh...

Might get time tomorrow if you don't get yours done Wally :)

Awesome, cheers Wally! I'll have a hunt around today and see what PVC pipe I have...

Tonight I'm hoping for carb work if I have time, then this week I might get some pre-load fiddling done...
