If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I was needing the stock jetting specs for an 80 GS 1100E,I stumbled on an old Kerker 4/1 for it ,havent pulled the carbs yet was wondering what stock jetting is supposed to be.Bike is completely stock, wondering what jetting changes may have to be made.

Have you considered checking the sticky thread titled "Carb OEM specs as per factory manuals" at the top of this forum?

This should help, not all GSR members treat new members with an attitude. (Driving away new members.)
Hang in there! ;)

that is a nice list but doesn't have the 1100 listed. Cliff has the manual on his website though.

Probably go up 2-3 steps to 115-117 Mikuni when using a 4:1 pipe on stock bike without pods.

On my bone stock 80 GS1100E with a Vance & Hines pipe with no glass in it & a K&N filter with the filter box top removed, I run 115 Mikuni jets at 3750 ft altitude, stock pilot jets, a dyno jet needle in the middle clip & the mixture screw 3 turns out. Most of my riding is in the mountains running up to 10,000 ft. You might want to go to 117s. Your results may vary, it works for me. Im am certainly no expert at this either. Help from other posters on this subject like posplayr helped me to come up with this setup.

My 80 GS1100 had 107.5s in it from the factory along with 45 pilots, I dont care what the chart says it should have. Every year is different, I dont know what year that chart is for either

Hi,

Compiled from the information submitted in the "OEM Carb Spec" thread:

Suzuki GS Series Carb Specs

You'll find a lot more information collected on that guy's site, like manuals and junk. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Although all things matter to some degree, the intake makes the most difference whether stock airbox, lid off, K&N filter and lid off, Pods; each requires a step up in main jetting.

For good bottom to top end performance I'd go with 47.5 pilot jets/117.5 main jets and remove the airbox lid.

Thanks for all the info,I' think I'll start with 115's and 47.5 on pilot, and see what happens.......

80 1100 Jetting

Got a chance to check out the carbs,107.5 mains 45 pilots.I started with 115 mains 47.5 pilots.Bike idles fine, took it out on highway ran decent for a minute then fell on it's face, rough acceleration, etc. When installing jets, noticed #2 slide set higher than other three, removed cap,and diaphragm had pulled out of the seat, just wondering if it happened again, didn't have chance to check it out,had to leave town for work. Will give it a look when I get home this weekend, plus my other jets should be in by then.
The Kerker header I have does have a competion baffle in it so will that also influence jetting reccomendations?

Hold up on the slide while you put the cap on and the diaphragm will stay in place better. Sounds like you need to synch the carbs too

I have an old magazine article from back in the day and they found 122.5 mains about right with a header and stock airbox with the lid removed.

Well I just happen to have some 122.5's in the old jet collection,I'll give them a whirl when I get home Thursday night see what happens. Can I get by with the stock needle setting or will I have to shim it,too?

It depends on the altitude where you live too, Im at 3700 ft, I believe they were testing in California
